I'm so frustrated with the housing benefit people!

I have supplied them with everything they asked, but it's never enough.
Now there's another bank account I wasn't aware of.
It's like never-ending misery!
I'm so tempted to just stop it, because it's really not good for my mental health.
My advice would be : never apply for housing benefit. Those people will drive you mad!

Anything to do with benefits is a nightmare, but keep going and get what you are entitled too, they backdate to date of claim.

My daughter had to visit 6 banks in one day to prove to Universal credit and one of the a/c's had l lot of money in it, the bank got angry and said why was she enquiring about someone elses bank a/c. It all got sorted and her claim went through. so stick with it Vanessa.

Urgh I've had enough. I only have one Lloyds account. So no idea where the other one comes from :conf:
This is the only thing that's upsetting me.
Because everything else I understand it.

Don't give up Ness, you're entitled to your benefits, I know it's stressful, frustrating and a right royal pain in the ass. Sometimes I feel like they do it on purpose to put people off. X

Every time I give them what they ask they suddenly ask for something else :ninja2:

Vanessa 24-04-2024 01:44 PM

I know I'm entitled to it, but is it worth it for all the stress they cause? Not sure

Kate! 24-04-2024 01:53 PM

Don't let them win. They always do this in April when they update all the claims.

Ammi 24-04-2024 03:44 PM

…I’m so sorry that you’re going through all of that stress and frustration, Vanessa …but stick with it to get your entitlements as you’ll look back and be glad that you did, I think.……

The bank should be able to give you information, could be an old closed a/c or have 1p in it, should be an easy fix , do not give up.

They quoted an account number that I've never heard of.
I have a Lloyds account, but different number.

:clap1:

Sure thing. The 'government' has wasted hundreds of billions down the drain.

Don't let them keep more of YOUR MONEY to waste.

Claim EVERYTHING.

You have your tibb friends to spur you on vanessa. You've worked hard up till now, so dont you start giving in when you have all these lovely people having your back. X

Wish I could help myself but I'm absolutely hopeless at dealing with stuff like this..I do however have exemplary records for my recycling bins. One day I might start paying them to pick them up, but IMO that is a 2 way deal..I've sorted it for you, now you sort it for me by taking it away for nothing...Dont need your light either.

Good.

David Soul would have been proud had they not killed him with their difficultness.

Mystic Mock 24-04-2024 09:23 PM

I would continue pursuing them Vanessa.

If it's your money then they have no right to withhold it from you.

rusticgal 24-04-2024 09:30 PM

Keep it in the back of your mind that you are entitled to this…and just fight for it. There are many that don’t even try and get work unlike you…but they still can afford fags and booze get handed it on a plate.

I know, the system is ridiculous. A lot of people who could work, but choose not to and get more money that they should.
