London baby....yeah!

So we are going to London for the day next Saturday (a week tomorrow) and I'm buzzing. Never been to the Capital apart from to Wembley for a rugby game (Challenge Cup Final - St Helens won) but didn't see anything of the city.

Going really early and coming back late.

What's your favourite place for a day out?

Redway 26-04-2024 03:25 PM

Excited for you, Kate.

Omg are you coming to London? Shame I'll be working.
I live very near Wembley.

Redway 26-04-2024 03:49 PM

Do you think you'd want to visit O2-arena some time, Kate?

Love the O2. Great shopping centre and they do some great concerts.

keep away from Oxford Street or Leicester Square

joeysteele 26-04-2024 04:04 PM

When in London.
I can never resist going to Madame Tussauds.

I've loved it since I was a teen

Loved the London eye too.

Westminster Abbey is awesome.
As is the Tower of London.

So many places to visit.
You saying you're going Kate, has me thinking I may give myself a week or two there this year
Still so much I haven't seen in all the years and times I've been.

South Bank get off at Westminster cross the bridge, you can walk to Liverpool street, taking in the Tate Modern, the Shard, London Bridge, Borough Market

or treat yourself to the hop on hop off sightseeing bus

Yes there's a sightseeing bus that you can take from central London and it's not expensive. It's so good!

Oh what a lovely idea Ammi. And you've inspired me to just make a new thread.
