The heartbroken family of a father and son who were found dead in the Highlands after going missing on a hill walk have paid tribute to the pair.
Tom Parry, 49, and his 12-year-old son Richie Parry have now been formally identified by police after they are thought to have died as the result of a fall. The pair were hillwalking in Glen Coe and rescuers spent hours searching for the father and son from Cheshire before they recovered two bodies from Stob Coire Nan Lochan, Glen Coe, at around 7.25pm on Wednesday. Police said there are no suspicious circumstances and their deaths are being treated as the result of a fall. There were no adverse weather conditions that day save low visibility which is normal for that area and altitude and the autopsy will be able to establish why they both died (ie fell down from a height and bashed their heads etc)
But with a child i cant think why they would be scaling rocks with the prospect that if one fell they would die so they must have gone off the beaten path and gone over a precipice |
