Whatever happened to …. ( singers / bands)

Over the decades loads of singers / groups reigned supreme for periods .. seemingly being able to do no wrong but then kinda disappear soon after never to be seen or heard of ever again..

My first offering is Faithless

Whatever happened to The Fratellis ???

I remember them releasing a fabulous album with great , catchy singles then quickly followed it up a lousy album where they completely changed their sound … and disappeared !

Paolo Nutini did this very same thing !

Fabulous album crammed with fabulous songs then a second album with just one half decent song plus loads of crap ones

Weird

Faithless were still doing the rounds a bit, until Maxi Jazz died.

Faithless were still doing the rounds a bit (Maxi Jazz and Sister Bliss), until Maxi Jazz died.

Can’t remember them having any hits though after their initial successes

They were a dance act though and went back into that scene mainly.... so not mainstream chart hits

Isn’t there a saying that “you have a lifetime to write your first album but only 18 months to write your second”.

Mika was huge for a little while. Dunno what he's doing now.

…I don’t know if you watch it but Mika is on a show called The Piano with Claudia Winkleman and Lang Lang…it’s a bit like the X Factor auditions scouting for incredible talent…and there really is some incredible talent…actually, I think the last winner might have performed at the Royal Coronation concert…

She should have been so much bigger than she was, she was perfect for the time she was around.

Mika still sells out shows around the world. Still has a big following despite no massive hits, also is apart of the big hit show "The Piano" on Channel 4 with Lang Lang, hosted by Claudia Winkleman.

Remember when he hosted/performed at Eurovision in Italy a couple of years ago!? That's a massive audience.

The Chainsmokers are another act that had a few big hits, and then just disappeared.
