It’s amazing to see. I don’t follow La Liga so I haven’t actually heard his name ring out but I’ve looked at Yamal’s stats and he’s started nearly all the games and scored 5 goals for Barcelona last season.

It’s a huge gamble to take someone so young and we only have this game to go by so far but it already looks like it could be a good decision.

I think the English ref Michael Oliver was very poor in that first half - he fell for three clear dives from Croatia ,incorrect throw in decision , incorrect corner decision and missed a possible penalty when onwards of the Spanish guys was clearly pulled back in the penalty box

That shouldn’t have been a penalty or a yellow card and I didn’t get the impression that VAR wanted to check it either.

Im more annoyed at the fact that VAR hasn’t corrected the decision there and then. That’s what it’s supposed to be there for and if it can’t get things like that right (which seemed clearly obvious even for me :laugh:) then what’s the point in having VAR in the first place?

Why haven’t ITV shown the incident ?
