Global warming

Is this the hottest Summer you've ever known?

It's fooking boiling isn't it?

Those expert's were right all along.

I take back whatever I said about them.

We urgently need to cool the planet.

Don't be such a Conspiracy theorist.

user104658 13-06-2024 10:26 PM

Global warming doesn't mean British summers will be hotter. I'm not going to bother explaining why, because you're too lobotomised to care. You'll just carry on as you are. "It's not hot so climate change is fake news".

bots 13-06-2024 10:31 PM

Global warming cause climate change. This means that countries across the world experience more regular freak weather conditions. So, big storms, wet summers, very hot days etc etc etc

Sometimes I’m fully on board with all this though I think it’s fanciful to believe that this tiny little island can save the world as the main culprits carry on as normal

Then you read about the world simply going round in climatic phases time after time sfter time .

We’ve been through far hotter times than these and there were no factories or motor vehicles around in those periods

Yeah there is that slight issue . .

Being serious though .. it’s possibly out of our hands and if the whole world stopped burning wood/ coal / oil / gas tonight it wouldn’t make a jot of difference ??

what are freak conditions?

Nicky91 14-06-2024 07:51 AM

No?

i'm still wearing a sweater LOL, half June

last year this time of year, we already had couple of 30+ days honestly, also we have more rainfall this year i think, an entire winter with many rainfall, bad for our basements too if water levels are too high, the walls of the basements become wet, nothing you can do about, except working hard to get rid of the water, with a special water ''vacuum cleaner''

so i hope we don't begin to complain about droughts this year :joker:

Nicky91 14-06-2024 07:53 AM

Greece though have quite a early hot summer i guess

40+ already, many hospitalizations too, due to heat strokes

thankfully this week is slightly cooler for them as well

------
Spain first had droughts and hot weather in spring, now this week massive amount of rainfall, causing severe damage, floodings

DemRed 14-06-2024 08:00 AM

Some people are getting incredibly rich from this apocalyptic narrative on climate change.

I think most of us understand that the planet has gone through warming up and cooling down periods since the beginning of time. Yes, we need to look after our planet, but we don't need to kill off the cows because of their farts and we don't need to start eating factory grown meat!

Scientists/climate researches that speak out about the global warming hoax are no longer funded or get recognition for their qualifications. Truth is being compressed into a vacuum.

that type of weather was happening in 1766 too, its just the only people who knew were those experiencing it

There is no surprise that the internet has arrived at the same time as this climate hysteria

Gusto Brunt 14-06-2024 08:29 AM

At 8am this morning, June 14th, 2024, it was 7c here up North, lad. :p

Hard Hail Stones

user104658 14-06-2024 11:44 AM

As always the truth will likely lie somewhere in the middle: most likely, human activity is affecting the climate in some ways. Most likely, the apocalyptic scenarios are "worst case scenarios" and the situation is not as dire or unavoidable as is hyped in the press and online.

Isn't that always the way with all things.

I would caution however as that it's just as unlikely to be "a complete hoax absolutely nothing to see here" as it is to be "the apocalyptic end of life as we know it". The facts never lie on either extreme.

The environmental impact on EV batteries is carbon-heavy process. Mining lithium is open mining, causing destruction and contamination of wide areas. On top of that, EV cars are not easily recylced and so we have a further e-waste problem.

Farmers in the western hemisphere are being paid not to farm their land because of greenhouse and livestock omissions. Bill gates owns more farmland in the U.S than anyone and he's growing soy and pea products that he can use in his 'Beyond Meat' laborataries.
He's also promoted masks for cows and has so far spent over $5 million on convincing American farmers to mask their cows. Well I'm sorry Gates, but I don't believe you are working in the planets best interest.
He belongs to a think tank of rich, quite powerful, very persuasive, global elite. He supports us all being microchipped, he supports 15 minute cities and he supports eugenics.

Gates is just one of many pushing this global crisis, whilst we will never hear a single voice on MSM stating otherwise. There is no conversation to be had by those experts who would like to tell us otherwise.

The fact that it regularly is going from boiling hot to freezing cold every few days.

Bill Gates has stated that he'd like us all microchipped?

Gates has been accused of a lot of stuff and i know with certainty that some of it's true. He is a crook and has always been a crook. Microsoft was born from him stealing the intellectual property of other firms and then selling it himself

As to the later conspiracy theories, i have no idea if they are true or not, but he is not, and never has been, a nice guy

Ammi 15-06-2024 07:30 AM

…I think with the world in so much conflict, it’s harder for some to think of global warming and the preservation of our planet and world for the future…and that’s understandable also….world conflicts/recessions and hard times etc…all help to create a more ‘live for the day’ type mindset, I feel…

…I mean, not to be too doom and gloom, obviously…..

Nicky91 15-06-2024 08:31 AM

well somehow i am thankful for this years mild spring, begin of summer

good for our garden, a lot greener too than last few years when we already had some hot weather by now for the time of the year, where we can enjoy certain flowers much longer than in the heat

also good news for today's trooping the colour, that it ain't too warm either, i mean those outfits of the guards must already feel quite warm, let alone if its 30+ :skull:

so good for them as well

Tbf I don't know much about Bill Gates as a person tbh, what you and DemRed have both said about him is news to me.
