Crazy to carry a toy gun (replica)
away from his home
As it looks real.

[A New York town is furious after
a 13-year-old boy was tackled to the ground
and fatally shot by police after
allegedly displaying a firearm.

In footage circulating on social media,
three cops are seen chasing the
Asian male on foot as he fled
from being stopped by Utica police
officers around 10:18 pm on Friday.

As the teen was running,
the Utica Police Department said that
he displayed what appeared
to be a hand gun,
according to an initial
statement released
on Facebook.]

Yes his Replica Gun.

That has no bullets

It's sometimes impossible to tell a toy or replica gun from a real one.

I'm sure it is....is it illegal to have a replica gun?

You can own replica guns in the UK but you're not allowed to have one in public.

It was dark and he had a replica gun NOT a toy gun

Its a co2 powered pellet gun that only a very trained eye could distinguish from a real one

here is the gun in question

Yes but that 13 year old
would see it as a toy gun.

Sounds almost identical to that other kid who was shot after brandishing a replica gun in public.

I bet he wasn't the first, and this one won't be the last.

I had a kid neighbour outside the house playing with a spray painted nerf gun and I legit felt my heart drop out my ass for about 10 seconds.

There should be laws about carrying ‘fake’ guns out in public

Many moons ago my son had a BB gun.
Luckily a friend of mine who was a policewoman told us that you couldn’t show it in public.

He should get a second chance to behave himself.
