Robin And The Hoods - Coming to Sky Cinema July 26th.

I know that trailers aren't everything, but wow! To how awkward this Film looks.

I honestly haven't felt this awkward since watching Turning Red's trailer for the first time when it had not long just come out.

What do you guys think of the trailer?

Its a classic good v evil movie for kids perfect for the start of the summer holidays, not sure what you found awkward about it Mock?

Just another attempt to coat tail Stranger Things

The name of the Film, and some of the acting even for a kids Movie looks really bad imo.

…it looks like quite a fun take on the story..it’s had and having good reviews, I have to say…but yeah, excited for when little grandbaby Ammi will be watching similar movies and we can watch them together…although I might have a little peak at Robin in the Hoods on my own while he’s waiting to catch up…

Too true.

I still think that the name could've been better though.

According to Wikipedia, "it's about a Real Estate Developer threatening the neighbourhood of 11 Year old Robin, and her gang of hoods."

Reminds me little of Bridge to Terabithia or Mona the Vampire.

I mean I have to agree with that - it looks like a decent enough film for kids aged like 7 - 10. Some films for older kids/teens/young adults I'd agree wit's important for it to be a bit less... kiddish... and be a watchable movie for adults too but that's clearly not what they're going for here. A "Summer holiday movie" as you say, something to stick on for kids while the rest of us sit on laptops working or going on TiBB.

Come to think of it I actually low-key miss these sorts of sillier films for kids. My youngest is at the Harry Potter/Hunger Games sort of phase, and the last thing I watched with my eldest was... Inception :joker:.

…if I watch Robin in the Hoods, I’ll write a little review for you…let you know what you’re missing……(…Inception is good as well, though…she wants to watch a movie with her old dad, that’s a lovely thing…what the movie is doesn’t really matter so much…)…

Good UK Sky Cinema (Owned by Comcast/NBC USA)
is making tricky films

I'm blessed to say that we ended up with one of those cool/funny teens who actually likes hanging out with us quite a lot, calling us "bro" and snapchatting memes. I'm just glad she's now at an age where she can watch more complicated films with us and actually understands what's going on :joker:.

*joking about how one of her pals is clearly an NPC*
"I need to watch The Matrix again"
"We've watched that with you before a few years ago..."
"Yuh but I actually had absolutely no idea what was going on."

:hehe:

…the capacity of a young person/teenager to be able to watch a movie 57689587 times is a fascination as well……there they are sitting beside us and relating the dialogue word for word like a little subtitle person …I mean, we don’t even have to watch the movie to get the vibe…and yet, the next day they might want to watch that same one again…and again…and again……

Famous Five is extremely Tory-coded though, they would never have worn hoodies.
