…children/tragedy/violent crimes just feel too often linked together atm…obviously shattering for the family and loved ones…but for all those who witnessed this awful thing as well, just unthinkable….

...however not to be a pedant (would I ever??) but... it's not really an assassination, is it, that's the wrong word and terrible reporting. A gang execution, maybe. Assassination in almost every form of usage refers to the planned killing of a key or high-profile person for very specific reasons (e.g. political or business).

I still think back to that woman activist that was gunned down a few years ago at a party in a garden in london. It was a story for a couple of days and then it has been silence ever since
