She sounds lovely.

Zizu 24-07-2024 06:06 AM

I absolutely hate any kind of cruelty .. animal included !!

A 6 month ban seems far too lenient for whipping a very young horse into doing an unnatural movement .. with a view for point scoring in dressage !!

She has won Olympic gold medals on the back of this type of training so she should lose all those medals and be scratched from the official records !

I’m sick if all these horse trainers being caught on camera whipping or punching horses then claiming it was a one off

Poor horse :(

Livia 24-07-2024 11:22 AM

This isn't the first time. She was disqualified from the European Championships in 2019 when blood was found on her horse. She's a disgrace.

Cherie 24-07-2024 11:32 AM

Disgusting, not a big fan of dressage at any rate, the way the horses heads are tethered it looks very uncomfortable, she says this was a one off, I doubt it.

Well thank the lord the poor horse’s owner had the genius idea to go to the media days before the Olympics where this horrid woman could have broken the equestrian records and be the top medal winner of all time !!
Plus there was talk of her leading out our Olympic team as well !

Video of Charlotte Dujardin, Whipping a Horse :Banned from Paris Olympics

She’s despicable !!

This is obviously how she ‘trains’ her horses !!
She deserves a whipping herself

The sad truth is that this (perhaps not as extreme usually, but sometimes far worse) is rife in dressage, racing, anywhere that animals are used competitively basically.

You'll hear lots of;

"Oh we love and care for the animals!"

"Better looked after than most humans!"

"They ENJOY being part of the sport!"

...but it's mostly absolute bull**** and exploitation. Leave animals out of human competitions of any kind.

Yes I agree !!

Horses get a bad deal in racing, jumping and dressage ..

They are such intelligent, strong willed creatures it’s frightening what techniques are used to break their spirits and force them to comply and perform

We don't often agree but I agree 100% with this.

Yep I agree - they're not like dogs, which are generally so "food motivated" that you can train them very thoroughly with just treats, snacks and praise. All competitive horse training involves some element of "breaking" and negative reinforcement, really sad.

A newcastle fan who punched a horse got a years jail.

smudgie 24-07-2024 05:22 PM

She should have her medals taken away.
Cruel bitch.

Yes at the very least …
Although given she has money and ‘friends’ I suspect this will all just go away !

At least she misses this Olympics

Yes I agree,

Zizu 24-07-2024 06:19 PM

Look if this is her second animal cruelty related scandal in the last few years then it can’t be simply dismissed as a one off incident

Also !

How can whipping a horse two dozen ( 24) times in a minute ( gawd knows how many times over the years) be described as ..” an error of judgement “ !?!?!

Britain's Dujardin, a six-time Olympic dressage medallist, withdrew from the Paris Games on Tuesday after the video emerged, saying it showed her "making an error of judgement".

An equestrian expert was just on the radio and all she would say was that the video was just a short snapshot of her training but admitted that it didn’t look too good !!

She sounded posh which is why she probably didn’t show outrage like normal people have done ..she went on to describe the replacement rider as ‘a good egg’ !!

“A good egg “ … enough said !

Dressage. A sport played by upper class elites.

Breaking news

Her substantial funding has been suspended

What’s the betting she convinces all the stable hands and the others to work for reduced or zero wages whilst the enquiry goes on … so they get to keep their jobs

Zizu 24-07-2024 09:49 PM

She is expected to lose her CBE and her Damehood

Excellent

Hopefully its an independent enquiry and they propose the banning of all equestrian training and events

Its completely unnatural … and unnecessary given we now know how they ‘train’ the horses to do unnatural things

Zizu 24-07-2024 09:59 PM

This is a far more damming clip of events and the sound of the whipping is awful
