Do you have, or have you given to others, the title of godparents!

Ibb is short for isobel, and ibb is my mothers sister.. William and isobel are my godparents as well as auntie and uncle That's me in the middle, the wee nephew and godson https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5d51149b1e.jpg Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk |

My mum and her sister in the photo above...had a brother, there older brother..alan. then my mum Pamela..then isobel..my godmother and auntie.
Alan, is Lisa Thomsons grand dad..lisa Thomson is the Olympian. Her dad is my cousin. When Lisa's grandad alan(my mums brother and my uncle) did his national service, he had a job already...left cause he had to...dine that, and guess what!!! Yes, correct...! WHEN HE GOT BACK, THE JOB WASNT THWRE ANYMORE. what you think about that? Is Lisa gonna be a fighter for Team GB, or will the English, as usual, be the main focus for team eb |
Ok..I've had a coffee to calm down @Mysticmock.
It is a wholesome photo.. What would you say if I remeber being about 10 or 11, and at my grannies house(the mother of all 3 of them) and isobel is there in tears cause (BILL) william had hit her again. What I remember of that situation is pure hurt and anger...like a sobbing feeling in my chest, and a hidden anger in my hidden face that increased the more I tried to hide my hurt and anger..as the words I tried to block out my young ears got louder and stronger. I felt it was my fault for a milli 2nd..but that milli 2nd lasted a good few years I reckon.. Am I on the spectrum? Serious question. |
I have 7 seven God children.
I went through years of infertility struggles before having my son and a lot of my friends asked me to be god mum to their kids |

I mean you could be on the spectrum (I'm not a Doctor) but it's normal to have certain emotions, but not want to throw it all out there at once imo. |

I have a god daughter.
Not seen her for many moons. My Aunt Mary was my Godmother, we were very close until she died. |

My son isn't Christened though....so he doesn't have God Parents. |
My Godparents are all dead now. I have one Godson who now lives in Australia.
When my first son was born we planned to have him christened but the Church would not accept one of my chosen Godparents as they were not confirmed and suggested we have someone from the regular congregation...like a stranger...so we decided not to go ahead with it. |
Great pic parm, I think it's a great tradition although I think people often lose contact with their godparents because they're often people who your parents are best friends with when having kids but slowly drift away from and it's obviously less important when you've grown up
My godfather is my Uncle so I obviously still see him but have probably seen my godmother once in the last decade. She does always still send a birthday card though! |

I take my godparent duties very seriously, I am godparent to my friends son and he gets money at Christmas and Birthdays and an Easter Egg ....he is 17 now ...cost me a blooming fortune, his brothers complain as their god parents dont bother with them  |
