Shocking

[The Metropolitan Police has launched an
urgent appeal for a six-year-old girl who
went missing in Greenwich,
south-east London, on Monday.

The force said it was "extremely concerned"
for Eudine who was reported missing from
the Thamesmead Estate at 22:40 BST.

The Met said she was seen alone on
CCTV at about midday, and have asked
people in the Thamesmead area to
check gardens, sheds and CCTV and
doorbell footage.

It is believed the girl is between
3ft 6in and 4ft (1.09m to 1.21m) tall and
she is thought to be wearing
light pink pyjamas.
She also had a white shoulder bag with
a daisy design with her.]

…oh jeez, I hope that she’s ok…but that’s not good to know that she’s been missing all night…

Ammi 30-07-2024 07:07 AM

…she was alone and wearing pyjamas so would stand out as raising a red flag of concern to any public member who may have seen her…

Cherie 30-07-2024 07:10 AM

Very strange, she was caught on camera in the PJs yesterday lunchtime but was not reported missing until late last night, home alone?

I hope someone has taken in the little mite for safety but you would have thought the would have contacted police

arista 30-07-2024 07:20 AM

Yes could well be a home alone child.

Sad news

Wow that is one immediately haunting CCTV image, the way she's covering her face and seems to be running. Seems like she's in great distress.

Hope they find the poor little thing.

Best case scenario is a family kidnapping - a parent or grandparent who doesn't have custody will occasionally be involved, which is the best hope that she's actually OK somewhere.

If she was taken by a stranger the implications are grim, and even if she's just gotten lost alone, outdoors over night is not good.

Yeah if a stranger took her, they would have brought her straight to a Police station if their intentions were good. Poor child, I don't understand why it took so long to report her

Is she in a situation where her parents are split up?

Because hopefully it's just a case of the Dad going rogue, and that she's okay.

Bit worrying that she seems to be wandering alone in that CCTV footage though

Ammi 30-07-2024 08:02 AM

…she could be curled up asleep somewhere is a positive outcome to hope for…in a quiet area or outbuilding etc…it’s less likely, but…it’ll be what the family are hoping for…yesterday was such a warm day as well, she’ll be very weak and dehydrated…

That's true tbf.

The other scenarios really aren't good that I can think of.

["We are extremely concerned for her welfare
and officers are carrying out urgent enquiries to find her,"
the force said in a statement.

Anyone with any information on
where Eudine may be is asked to call 999.]

Yes but the CCTV
is daytime her playing with birds
so she may have already had a sleep.

She went missing on Monday night 10:40PM
it was reported to the Police

…it’s really concerning when there is so much discussion about ‘the more dangerous world we live in..’…/…but there is a young child on CCTV, walking alone in pyjamas and was shown to stumble at one point…and no one alerted authorities or intervened in any way to help…

I would assume
they thought she would be a parent
and no one wants trouble

…there was no one to create ‘trouble’ though, she’s a 6yr old child wandering alone in her pyjamas and looking around would confirm there was no parent because there was no parent…all of those things would create alarm to have at least notified authorities and keep her in sight so that it was known she was safe…no one had to approach her if they felt it would/could have been misunderstood in their approach…just keep her in sight until authorities arrived and she was in care…
