Author Robin DiAngelo accused of Plagiarism
 

[Robin DiAngelo, the author of a number
of books on racism including
White Fragility and Nice Racism,
has been accused of plagiarism
over her doctoral thesis.

A complaint citing 20 instances
of alleged research misconduct was
lodged with the
University of Washington – where DiAngelo
is an affiliate associate professor of education
and completed her PhD – according to
the Washington Free Beacon,
a conservative news site that has
published a number of similar complaints
against diversity officials and staff of
colour at US universities.

DiAngelo’s 2004 thesis, titled Whiteness
in Racial Dialogue: A Discourse Analysis,
uses the exact or slightly tweaked wordings
of other authors without quotation marks
or proper referencing, which is classified
as plagiarism under the University of
Washington College of Education’s
academic integrity policy.]

A Conservative publication saying this though makes it hard to take seriously as they're clearly agenda driven to not want her thesis to be successful.

And I am saying this as someone that's fed up of all of the performative nonsense that she's covering.

It was debated on Live TV news last night
who did not need to say it was
Conservative publication.


It is covered by the Guardian
so that's their take.


She is a touchy lady
only gives interviews with reporters who agree with her.


For me it is typical she Cheated

That's fair enough if multiple Media outlets of different political spectrums are also covering this.

She's a grifter for a number of other reasons, but this really won't impact her. She'll say it's the conservative boogieman, blame racism or come up with some other social mumbo jumbo as to why these things are just coming out now. These kind of people get away all kinds of hypocrisy for that reason because they have a cult following that won't question their motives. It'd be like going after L Ron Hubbard's (diseased) literature or Joel Osteen (living), because they've "helped" so many people, they are above scrutiny in a big enough circle they're not easily touched. The haters always hatin', etc. This will never change about human nature.

Plagiarism accusations can be easily proven, key thing here is that this is currently "accusations of" she has not been found to have objectively done anything, and vexatious plagiarism claims are EXTREMELY common in academia.

In other words, take with a large pinch of salt unless someone is offering evidence of said plagiarism. If she did it, where are the receipts? If there are none, it can't possibly have been plagiarism, by the very nature of what plagiarism is.

A bit like a certain Mr Trump, eh Maru ;).

As academically and intellectually worthless her stuff sounds, without solid evidence I'm inclined to believe it's her own work.

All of that tripe is probably similar enough that it probably looks like they all copy each other.
