What's for lunch?
 

Only had a late lunch, had some errands to run. Ham sandwich, jelly and custard pot amd a bag of chicken crisps. Delicious :love:

3 skinless sausages and fried egg betwixt 2 slices of Hovis (toasted) -brown sauce

Lunch was cottage pie, but for tea, fish and chips. :D

Living the high life

Sunday dinner.
Roast beef, Yorkies, roasties, swede, scorched cabbage, carrots, peas and lashings of lovely gravy.
Followed by whatever hubby deems best.

Had some fish cakes. Delicious.

…is scorched cabbage just cooked/roasted in the oven cabbage, smudgie…?…I haven’t heard that term before…

Easier than that Ammi.
Boil until just cooked, drain well. Pop in a large fry pan or wok, add butter and scorch it, add mint sauce a minute or so before it’s cooked.
Delicious. We have done this with sprouts for years then decided we would give cabbage a go.
Savoy cabbage is best.
