[Sir Ian McKellen has been called to return
his knighthood after her accused the
late Queen of being 'rude' and 'quite mad.'

The veteran actor made the remarks during
a recent newspaper interview.
Sir Ian said: 'The Queen, I'm sure she was
quite mad at the end.
And on the few occasions I met her
she was quite rude.'

Now his comments have received criticism
from confidants close to Queen Elizabeth II
who have even gone as far to suggest
the actor should his knighthood.]

Bit sad at his age if that was the goal.

Well it just feels really random for him to say this otherwise imo.

he fell off the stage, badly
the other week.

Some said he should stop doing that kind of work
at his grand old age.

He came back shouting he would carry on with his work.

But what's that got to do with his opinion of Elizabeth?

he is staying relevant

is he not allowed to have an opinion without giving an honour back?

Maybe he banged his head when he fell of that stage. Or maybe he's just a rude, silly old luvvie. Highly disingenuous to slag off the late queen but hang on to the honour.

He's got to the age when he doesn't give a pluck about anything much these days.

The queen was very unpleasant to some people, some of the things she said and did to Diana were unforgivable. The honours come from the government, not royalty, so there is no reason to hand it back. Royalty are not something special

He said years back he and McKellen
were co-presenting an award show.
Stating that McKellen was very rude.

I wonder if he has onset of dementia, first falling off stage and now this? it can make people very rude

Don't you find that actors of his status sometimes think they're a rule unto themselves? I think he's been reading his own publicity... I mean, I like him as an actor but suspect he's insufferable if you met him.
