Early Release Prisoners could be housed in budget hotels
[The Ministry of Justice is keen to distance
this policy from the Home Office's housing of migrants in hotels, which costs the taxpayer millions of pounds a day. Instead, this policy is intended to be used as a last resort - and may not be needed at all.] https://news.sky.com/story/early-rel...etary-13212309 At least they will be warm unlike the 10 million Pensioners |

Nobody wants to live next to a prison or a new power plant, even if they're desperately needed, so it's hard to get those needed facilities built. I can only imagine in a more densely populated area how much more difficult that would be. We finally got the dog shelter upgraded, which we did need as the population here (people) has exploded, but that's much easier to get public support for... |
we have plenty of land, we have Australia and Canada

Yes its official..the released prisoners are having housing provided to them...whilst the law abiding homeless guy still sits shivering in a doorway.
