Neither have proper effort at actual singing in them imo, it's just talk-singing.

It's why I've also never really been a big fan of Drake or Lily Allen.

Jessica Meuse does a good cover of it though, and he himself has a decent voice, so I'll give him a pass.

Espresso is an anthem :nono:

His voice is so annoying.

Don't get me wrong there are worse songs that I have heard from this year.

It's just that they're so bad that I don't remember the names of the artists or the songs, I have successfully blocked them from my memory.:joker:

I understand that his voice will be marmite tbf.

Sabrina carpenter has had a mammoth year. 3 number 1 singles, at one point holding the top 3 (first female and youngest to do so) whilst having a number 1 album.

I reckon espresso will finish as the biggest selling song of 2024 in the UK.

That's fair enough.

It just doesn't change my view of the song.

Tbh most of my Music taste is in the niche Rock/Metal circles, with the odd one in a different genre of Music, but again they tend to normally be niche.

Tbf this year I’m hard pushed to find much popular music/chart music I’ve liked other than Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan.

..I think for me, there’s still been some pretty great music this year…maybe just that Cowboy Carter and Beyoncé have dominated it a bit…(…and rightly so…:lovedup:…)… so some have been a bit more in the shadows…?…Jessica Pratt’s music, I love…Nilüfer Yanya is sensational and Dora Jar and Orville Peck …I’m sure I’ll think of more but those for me have been standouts…

…another contender for worst song…apologies to any Meghan Trainor fans but she’s one of the most bland artists…
