BBC Racist "joke" Mrs Browns Boys

[The Irish actor Brendan O’Carroll has apologised over a “clumsy” joke where a “racial term was implied” during rehearsals for the upcoming Christmas special of Mrs Brown’s Boys. The BBC temporarily paused rehearsals to investigate the incident, but they have since resumed at the broadcaster’s Pacific Quay studios in Glasgow – with shows going ahead as planned, the PA news agency understands. Mrs Brown’s Boys creator and star O’Carroll, 69, will return to his role as mischievous matriarch Agnes Brown in the Christmas Day and New Year’s Day specials. O’Carroll said in a statement given to PA: “At a read-through of the Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas specials, there was a clumsy attempt at a joke in the character of Agnes, where a racial term was implied.] https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-r...rm-was-implied |
so it was a read through of a script
and we don't get to see what the horrific "joke " was? pathetic oh its the Guardian No wonder its on its arse begging readers for money and the Mirror just trolling its leftist readers rather than provide actual news content |

Long old contract with BBC |
Something that didn't make it beyond a table-read doesn't need to be news.

Many want his show, to end. Thats the real problem |
…it’s not my thing at all in terms of comedy but that’s by the by…Brendan O’Carroll made a racist joke to his colleagues and all filming is halted because of that, with all of the finance investment and planning and scheduling that’s involved etc…?…it feels as though there’s more to this story than is being reported…well wait and see..

It depends on the intent for me.
Was meant in a malicious way, or is it like in White Chicks where the white girls start singing the N-word because it's apart of the lyrics to a song that they were singing? I don't know what Mrs. Browns Boys humour is meant to be like. |
It was along the lines of
(and this is in the character of Mrs Brown) "I know people call a spade a spade but I call a spade a ni...... "and then a cast member interrupted and I guess they all gasped or laughed |

I hate that programme with a passion, I am sure the BBC are trolling Irish people putting on Christmas Day specials
|
Good, hope the show gets cancelled, the stereotyping and dumbing down of Irish people is so bad.

Yes. it is out of Date Wise Jess |
Who even watches this trash? One of the worst programmes to ever be made, and the fact it’s still going.

So why do you still watch that Big Brother trash, even after the amounts of racism in it? |
