Poll. Team Ali. Or Team Marcello?

Thoughts?

I'm team Ali on this. I still like Marcello but he went too far.

Saph 20-10-2024 08:48 PM

Tbf I don’t think marcello did anything wrong and Ali was being over dramatic

But team Ali

Adamw92 20-10-2024 08:48 PM

Team Ali obviously.

I can agree that maybe she should have pulled him aside to air her feelings about it but she was also spot on when she showed the two different ways to have that conversation. He speaks like a teenager who just discovered porn, not an adult.

Vanessa 20-10-2024 08:49 PM

Marcello did nothing wrong. She didn't have to take part in the conversation if she wasn't interested in that.

MTVN 20-10-2024 08:53 PM

Ali was very belittling and Marcello had a right to be annoyed

Kate! 20-10-2024 08:56 PM

Not at all. I don't think Ali was the only one who was uncomfortable with the conversation

Just the only one brave enough to challenge it.

Nixa 20-10-2024 08:56 PM

Not quite sure why Ali seems to think she has the right to dictate what other people talk about. If she’s worried about her job then what’s she doing there in the first place?

Marcello doesn’t seem the sharpest knife in the drawer but he’s entitled to speak about what he wants.

Not really.

And other people are entitled to not have to just sit and listen to what he “wants to talk about” so maybe it could wait for a time where they don’t all have to be gathered together?

Maybe so but her argument to start in front of everyone was weak.

Spot on

It was at first when she talked about her.job. Ill grant you that. But when she later spoke to him one on one she was right. It was uncomfortable conversation. It was far more the sort of thing he should have said more privately to one or two of the guys?

smudgie 20-10-2024 09:03 PM

Ali came across as a bit silly really.
Marcello wasn’t so good either with his chat in the garden.

Mrluvaluva 20-10-2024 09:07 PM

Ali is coming across to me as a bit self righteous. It's not all about her beliefs and opinions. Marcello was speaking about himself, nobody else. She might not like it personally, but others were getting involved with the conversation and asking questions. She obviously upset Marcello.

Agreed

Kazanne 20-10-2024 09:13 PM

I'm not keen on Marchello, but Ali was unfair, for although she is right his comments can be annoying and over the top etc , but so is Lily annoying too and said gross things so why hasn't Ali confronted her about her behaviour

Maru 20-10-2024 09:18 PM

That could've been a normal disagreement, but Ali shows her nastier side when she comes out and makes these demands. She's asking for respect (fair enough) but then there's no room for non-compliance. She's too authoritative and needs to chill tf out. But it was nice to hear her, for once, speaking 100% about her own neurosis instead of piggy-backing off others' to kick off drama.

Marcello's sex talk has been going on for weeks. If the conversation was with her personally (like it was uncomfortable watching when it was him and BP), I'd understand her shutting it down, but the discussion wasn't with her... it was just too close to her ears. That's kind of ridiculous to tell others how they should speak simply because that person happens to be in their presence.

Also, who knew that the Psych field in the UK were so uptight and Conservative. That definitely wouldn't be the case here. It's more sex-positive here.

GlitterUK 20-10-2024 10:51 PM

I don't particularly like Marcello but I don't like Ali either. Ali seems to think she is superior to others and thinks she can tell people how to act and behave but doesn't equally challenge others behaviour. I have tried not using the word bully as it gets used every year but the more I see of her the more I do think she is a bully. She belittles and talks down to people and has tried to shame people. She is a mean girl.

Mystic Mock 20-10-2024 10:52 PM

I never thought that I would say this, but I thought Ali was being a tad harsh and therefore I side with Marcello on this occasion.

GoldGlitter 20-10-2024 11:02 PM

Voted Marcello. Like Lily he wants to have fun and enjoy the experience. I would rather see the back of Ali. She's too serious and brings nothing to the house.

GlitterUK 20-10-2024 11:17 PM

She is soul destroying. How can she let Lily live her best life doing whatever she wishes but want to control all the men in the house and make them so invalid they need to change part of them. She is hypocritical.

eternal 20-10-2024 11:30 PM

She clearly has a problem with straight men. Yes Marcelo can be crude but he wasn't actually the instigator of vulgarity in that conversation.

Who the hell does she think she is to censor others? Then when Marcelo went to have a chat with her after she was incredibly rude to him. Constantly thinks she knows best and is above everyone else in the house.

She doesn't call out Lily on her crap, didn't call out Rosie when she openly said "have u had a wank", and hasn't said anything about Emma's sexual innuendo either.

Double standards everywhere with her. A very arrogant, cold and calculating woman.

joeysteele 20-10-2024 11:38 PM

I can't bear Marcello..
So in this situation I'd be with Ali.

Lister of Smeg 21-10-2024 12:01 AM

Team Marcello. Ali takes herself way to seriously.

GlitterUK 21-10-2024 12:02 AM

They seem to be ok with one another now on the live feed, if she detested him so much why make amends.
