Hanah is the Anti Ali, and I am here for it

I am so happy that Hanah has come out fighting for her team and I am glad that the lads have her there. She can stand up to the bullshit of Ali as a woman that they can't.

If a man is seen arguing with a woman he can too easily been seen as being aggressive or bullying, especially when the inevitable waterworks start. But Hanah can take the fight right to her and she 100% has the strength of character to do so.

Where Ali seems to have a strong streak of misandry running through her, Hanah has a strong empathy with her boys.

Where Ali relies on grooming Lily and artificial alliances (Dean) to get her through, Hanah has actual friends in there. She hasn't got a team because it is tactically sound to do so, she just has people who like each other.

I have always said that Hanah has shown glimpses of being a great HM but has never had her 'moment' where it all solidified, but I think last night could have been it.

It's a shame that already some views are interpreting her strong principled stand as 'angry aggression', but some can only see a black woman with a voice as that so it's to be expected.

BBXX 23-10-2024 08:11 AM

I really like Hanah but I think last night was probably her worst moment so far. She didn't come across well at all, IMO. She "said it with her chest" by being caught out and then not saying anything to the person she was speaking about allllll day. She got rattled, and showed it was all bravado.

While I do think men are sometimes forgotten in terms of others checking in on their emotions and feelings, I think it's disingenuous to suggest nobody was there for Khaled during his disagreements with Ali. He has friends and Ali was up for eviction that week, which is some kind of support in itself.

ThomasC 23-10-2024 08:17 AM

And where was her support for Khaled before?

She's sly. She can't even look Ali in the face now.

Her response was one of embarrassment as she had been caught out. I don't believe for one second she would have confronted Ali otherwise.

Beso 23-10-2024 08:22 AM

I love a strong black woman on big brother, and Hanah is exactly that.

She has been dragged into this whole red witch thing, a part of the rule break conversation that BB did not need to air to the rest of the house as it had no real relevance and the rule break had already happened, what was aired should have stopped at "marcello also said"

But hey, halloween is just round the corner, so we can all see now why it was aired and also what is in store come halloween in regards to Alis role.

A lot of people saying she didnt say it with her chest because it was said behind Alis back as well, well it wasnt really a conversation that could he had with Ali, cause in hannah's part of the convo she was just saying they needed to win HoH next week, would have been foolish to discuss that with Ali, so yeah, Hanah is still up in my top 3 as she did nothing wrong, and lily can get back to itching her arse and sniffing her finger because it wasnt a got you moment for her in the diary room at all.

Everyone has a breaking point where they say 'no more'.

Hanah has simply reached hers, and I am happy that she has.

The show needs a strong team to play against Ali's bullshit and Hanah can be the leader of that.

I loved her fighting spirit.

She def did nothing wrong.

Talking to her team about Ali's bullshit is 100% fine and OK. No one includes the rival team in their conversations... Why would they? AliDean chat all day about the other HMs but it's only a problem now?

I am fully team Hanah.

GoldGlitter 23-10-2024 09:09 AM

Why is it ok for Hanah to create a team? When Ali did that she was seen as manipulative. It makes no sense why Hanah would be angry with Ali when she stood up for her when Khaled called her Aggy and saved her from nominations. It was a good thing that Ali was in there lastnight because she was protecting Lily from an onslaught from the gang which would have made them look even worse.

Hanah was saved simply because she was with Lily. Please do not make out it was anything to do with her as a person in her own right.

Cherie 23-10-2024 09:14 AM

Hanah has formed genuine friendships in there which is lovely to see, I hope she makes the final

Ammi 23-10-2024 09:20 AM

…I’m 110% shamelessly going to pop this right here …

It was a great move to pair Hanah with Lily and a clever tactic by Ali to make Dean look like he was the one who put Khaled with Marcello. They all knew that Ali was going to save Lily. They should have been smarter about who to nominate to have a better chance of surviving the week she was hoh.

Black Dagger 23-10-2024 09:27 AM

She’s a joke who speaks for the sake of speaking.

Wasn’t arsed when 4 women were up last week but suddenly the sky is falling now. Wish she knew her best pal Segun had nominated Daze as well. Those men will throw her under the bus.

Why is it not?

They are defending themselves against targeted attacks. It's form a team or get picked off one by one. A team is a smart move.

Tizmee 23-10-2024 09:34 AM

I haven’t had any strong opinion on Hannah so far, but last night I fully agreed with what she had to say in response to BB stating what she had had to say about Ali.

I don’t think it was ‘bravado’ from her because of her comments being exposed - it was simply standing by her opinion and what she’d said.

What I find intriguing though, is the fact that Ali hasn’t said a word to Hannah (from what has been televised) about this.
She would almost certainly have confronted any of the male houseguests had it been one of them ….

My apologies in advance because I certainly don’t want to offend anyone but, the word ‘misogynist’ comes to my mind …

Yep. Their team gravitated together and gelled through actually liking each other.

Ali and her alliance of groomed 'children' and cynical users can't compete.

Hanah forms friendships on the basis of the personality, not out of some silly supposed allegiance to gender or sex.

It makes no difference to her if the nommed HMs are all men or all women, just don't come for her friends.

Kate! 23-10-2024 09:38 AM

I can't say a lot. I like both Ali and Hanah. It's a shame they don't see eye to eye. Interesting reading all your viewpoints.

Such a shame that Segun did come for her friend then isn’t it.

Segun had his own reasons. What difference does it even make? I don't get what you are so fixated on here. That Segun didn't have the same best friend as Hanah? It's weird.

bots 23-10-2024 09:52 AM

Hanah is completely unlikeable, and to top it off, i don't understand half of what she is saying

There wasn't any fighting spirit, she said it behind her back and now won't even look at her

I wonder if she's waiting for Ali to acknowledge her before having a chat? Segun only offered to talk when Ali made a jokey comment at him. Emma said an interesting thing last night - if Ali wanted her opinion, she would give it to her, but she didn't think she'd accept it if offered.

Edit: As said below, she did say to everyone, in front of the house - any issues, come to me. So it might be a case that she feels Ali knows her opinion and can say if she wants to discuss it.

That's a pretty weird take on what we actually saw take place.

She literally stood up in front of the house, owned it and made no apologies and said come get it.

They ALL talk behind the backs of others. Ali does it constantly, and it's only a problem when a black woman does it? That's odd.

Said what behind her back, what did she say that could have been said directly?

Ali literally read Dean, who she's actually friends with and 3 seconds later spoke to his face without telling him the big issue she had with him, she's worse than anyone for "fakeness"
