In any event, we've seen a few instances now of Emma decrying how someone like Ali is quite arrogant and doesn't respond well to advice of any sort. I get the feeling that Emma knows that flattery is the quickest way to appeal to someone like Ali, and that making the claim that Khaled fancied her will go some way towards thawing her heart and building a bridge between the two. Even if it is under potentially false pretences.

Like Nimah said, it's probably that Khaled at least felt a basic physical attraction. Ali is a very good looking woman.

…actually speaking of burn… before the ‘red witch’ was revealed to Ali, she used the word burn previously when she said that ‘if she’d burned her bridges with Khaled then so be it…’…

I am sure that most of the boys (and the girls) will appreciate that Ali is great looking, whether that means they "fancy" her is a bit different to me. I can appreciate someone being gorgeous without fancying them.

Exactly. On launch night they're all going to be going on looks, whether you still find that person attractive a few days later after you get some personality to go along with the looks is a different story entirely

In Ali's defence, she is passing on something she has been told. It's not her saying, "I think Khaled has a crush on me, and that's why he's behaving like this". It's "I've been told Khaled had a crush on me, and that makes sense regarding my perception of him".

I heard it as Khaled told Emma that when they first went in the house, but Emma only told Ali this yesterday, which would have been Monday, house time.

…oh that’s interesting, it’ll be good to see if the conversation is extended at all in the HL show…

Maybe that is the reason she hates him then because he dared look at her in the wrong way or maybe he smiled at her once and it grossed her out.
