Is Emma the dark horse of the season?…

…I wasn’t sure about her at the beginning, I have to say…but she’s someone that I’ve liked more and more…she seems to have a great balance of fun and humour while also being very thoughtful and considered/considerate…she has a wooden spoon, yes…but she has a very specific use for it which doesn’t involve ‘stirring up’ or aggravating any situation so far as I can see, it’s more an improvised measuring unit….she does have popularity for sure, I think…but doesn’t seem to be one of the ones who is pondered so much as ‘potential winner’…but could she be that dark horse that even the housemates didn’t see racing past them to the final and the winning post…

…also being the oldest housemate in a house filled more with ‘young’uns’….who would have predicted…/thoughts etc…?…

I am still undecided on her but she does add something to the series and every time I go off her she redeems herself somewhat. It will be interesting to watch her as the series goes on.

I like her. Like I have said elsewhere she reminds me of the 90s style good time girls that I met a lot in that time when I managed nightclubs. Things were a lot of fun back then.

Is she sometimes crude? Yes. But, she also has a lot of earned wisdom in that head of hers and the ability to handle people without getting overly dramatic.

I kinda dig the whole liberated don't give a **** cougar vibe she has.

Well I had one of my Aunt's just text me that she likes Emma, and as far as I'm aware I don't believe that she uses any of the BB Forums, so she's more general public perception of the Housemates.

So if my Aunt reflects general public taste, then hopefully Emma will have a chance if Sarah can't do it.

Emma is one of my faves

…I saw this online…I don’t know who the account is but…recollections may vary as our late Queen said…?…(…I know Mick didn’t actually say that…)…

"cougar vibe she has"

Yes Sexy

Ammi 25-10-2024 10:03 AM

…she has much more than sexy I think, Arista…she’s showed a very thoughtful and considered aspect also…and since being paired with Emma…?…I realised that Thomas had a Geordie accent because it’s the first time I can recall hearing him speak…maybe Emma’s nurturing and influence etc…?..

joeysteele 25-10-2024 10:11 AM

She could well be.

I still recall the governing task and she was brilliant in that.
I like Emma too.
Ali, Emma and Sarah are the ones I would vote to win.

So hopefully one or more of those 3 will be in the final.

I hope so or it could end up with ( I hope not), Thomas even winning.

She's been a firm favourite of mine since day 1

ebandit 25-10-2024 11:29 AM

..................i did smile when she said something like...............'if my daughter is difficult she gets a stare............then if she continues she receives
a shoe to the head...............which is no boomerang'

Sure for Thomas

Yes I do like her...she is funny and witty and honest. She has fitted in with all the younger people because she is quite like-minded but with more of life's experiences.

GoldGlitter 25-10-2024 11:45 AM

No she's been quite rude to some of the housemates like Lily and Izaaz. Gets away with sex talk and asking Nathan how big he is because she's a woman.

thesheriff443 25-10-2024 11:50 AM

No I think she a very basic housemate pretty much like the rest of them

Everything she says about Lily is spot on. But it's definitely double standards how she can make 2 very crude graphic remarks towards Nathan and his private
bits & sex etc ,and get away with it.

If we're thinking about public image, and people's jobs
and life outside the BB house ... surely it should apply to all the housemates.

caprimint 25-10-2024 01:08 PM

Doubt it, she can't get through a sentence without either swearing or making it sexual :umm2:

Yes, there is definitely a double standard. When Marcello asked Sarah if she was on her period there was a backlash in the media. He was called sexist and that he should be kicked out. If any of the men would have said that to Rosie about Nathan's fingers they would have been called into the diary room. When Emma does it she's witty and has great one liners.

And non of us wanted to hear about Nathan's bits either :yuk: .

Emma is still my second favourite in the house, but the endless risque comments have admittedly started to grate a little bit.

Billy 25-10-2024 01:41 PM

I hope so, but I think it’s a matter of time before she goes against Lily and is probably evicted.
