Thoughts on last night's show because a lot happened

Martha snitching once again; I was ready to give her a chance but I'm done with her. My journey with Martha has been a bit complicated but I have arrived at thinking that she is just disruptive and irritating, willing to spread and say whatever she has to in order to be noticed. At one point I was sympathetic to her but now she can just do one.

The way Martha fed Lily with the "the way she was just standing there staring" etc was nauseating.

Ali on labelling Hanah and the boys 'bullies'; Again Ali is pushing the bullshit narrative others have more 'power' than her in the house and using that as a manipulative way to bond her loose group of allies together into a team. Now, creating an alliance is fine ofc, but the way she is doing it is pretty ****ing awful.

Labelling others as bullies on national TV is not a small thing.

"All they do is bitch and talk behind backs"; Said when Ali and her mooks are sitting there DOING EXACTLY THAT.

Why are the Ali mooks allowed to do it and Hanah isn't allowed to have her friends to talk to? The double standards are so blatant.

"What's going on with this mad house divide"; Ali YOU created the divide and everything you do is aimed at widening that divide. God, she is so ****ing dishonest.

"Martha is an underhanded nasty cow"; Once again Emma gets it 100% right in the DR.

"You can blame everything on me"; Ali's continuous attempts to make it about her are pathetically transparent. It makes it about her once again, paints her as the 'sacrificial leader' to her mooks, and creates the illusion of the 'nice person'. More manipulation, more Ali serving herself. Even Dean called it out, "It's not about you tonight".

Now, my take away from it all is that while Hanah def did not come away from it looking good (mainly because of the way that she engages rather than what she she actually did, her attitude did stink), Martha was the catalyst and cause for everything. Ali then attempted to capitalise on that in order to manipulate others and build her power base, further creating the divide that she claims to not understand.

TL;DR: Emma is the only sane and reasonable one in there.

I hate the word 'bully' that is just randomly thrown around. However, if anything is going to come close it's three grown adults calling her names behind her back then revelling in being caught, sniggering, then off they go again to revel and say her plan didn't work.

I don't think it was that deep

Ali isn't innocent, but she hasn't called people red witches or charlatans. That's another level of nasty.

She has had her disagreements with mainly two people, Khaled and Marcello.

I do understand why she would say just blame it on me as there's a clear dislike from a cliché in the house about her. She said it tongue in cheek with a smile

As for the Hannah/Martha thing. I think Martha unintentionally caused it, but Hannah's reaction was a lot worse than what Martha did (which imo was a mistake).

Hanah has shown herself to not like authority
She has an attitude problem that stinks. Like Martha said, why can't they just have a conversation

You really should have just stopped there.

Bully as a slur is way above 'red witch' or 'charlatan'. You know that. why pretend otherwise?

There was nothing unintentional about it. If it was 'unintentional' she should have apologised right from the tart rather than continuing to push it and then continue to double down with Ali's mooks following it.

I'm not pretending. The context in which they were name calling was more close to bullying than anything I've seen in there. ..but like I say, it's an overused word.

Yeah maybe she should have apologised from the start. I'm not excusing Martha. Hanah overreacted to it

I am confused... What name calling did Hanah+ do that constitutes 'bullying'? Are you saying the red witch comment was enough to earn that as a slur?

I suspect that you are just rationalising it because it was Ali that used it.

Hanah would not have reacted to it all if she hadn't been forced to.

Yes, Hanah reacted badly, her attitude does stink, but I always look at the root cause first. That root cause was Martha who then went on to feed the flames.

Hanah reacted to being gaslit and an attempt to turn the house against her. You say that Martha’s actions were unintentional but how do you unintentionally lie and antagonise?

I do find it odd the way people are willing to give this type of grace to Martha but chastise Hanah for reacting to the situation that she was put in.

I am critical of Hanah but I agree with this take.

For the record, although I have a Hanah avatar I’m also not unaware of how she came across last night nor do I think she is above criticism but there are very suss reactions to her in general (I don’t mean on here specifically)

Last nights show just confirmed what a vile person Hannah is.
Emma is rapidly becoming my fave.

Well I don't think Martha went out her way to cause trouble. I just think she didn't think

I believe you, I don't have you among the unmovable that zealots I see here :)

Segun crossing himself in front of Lily as if he were exorcising her of the Devil was pretty funny

Plus Nathan didn't help matters either by getting involved, it had nothing to do with him....but he took it upon himself to flap his turkey teeth. He was talking to Hanah like she was dumb ... especially with his " how sure are you that you heard it " :bored: .

And the way he beckoned her to walk over to him ... like a dog , he's a condescending pr1ck ,but because he kept to his usual monotone voice, while Hanah got more irate....it will unfortunately cost her instead of him. The smug twit will get to the final on his cringe Showmance.

Martha swore and made snidey jibes , which were uncalled for . Emma rightly so told Martha off , and Emma was swearing out of frustration... I'm glad Emma put an end to the nonsense :clap1: .

hm it's not THAT she reacted, it's HOW she reacted
(not saying Martha is innocent)

Dean was the worst for it. Getting involved and siding against Hanah when he didn't know anything of the situation beforehand. I think Nathan was at least trying to be neutral. But Dean wasn't even putting up the front. Shut the **** up when you don't even know what the issue is, Dean.

Dean has shown time and time again what a useless drip he is , he's like a sheep that just follows. You're right...I kept saying Hanah had 2 people against her in Martha & Nathan ,but Dean made 3 with his clueless 2 cents :bored: .

All Dean seems to do is sit like a nodding dog at Ali’s feet…then strop off now and again effing and blinding…
He really is pathetic…

It's like a forced weak attempt at losing his rag ,I can imagine him throwing a cushion on the floor....as a way to show he's not happy. He's thrilling viewing,I'm sure we're all at the end of our seats  .

Abra 28-10-2024 07:58 PM

Martha was definitely **** stirring

Ali getting more desperate, branding the other side "bullies" because her plan is crumbling

Lily insufferable as usual

Emma speaking straight FACTS :clap1: and nothing else, as always, thank you Emma!

Khaled remaining composed and chill again

Hanah was in the right in the argument but also went too far

Sarah rapidly growing on me

The only authority in that house is BB ! . Nathan , Martha & Dean are not in charge....they were patronising towards Hanah.

Ok She got a little feisty with BB , I'll use her phrase ' full throttle ' ...in the whole red witch drama. But in yesterday's show when BB called her to the Dr room, she went straight away . It's not like she refused. So not sure why you think she ' doesn't like authority ' , sounds more like a Lily thing .

eternal 28-10-2024 08:36 PM

Agree with everything you've said! Ali and her witches are awful.
