I've decided
I'm going to start lying on my job applications , as I'm not getting anywhere :idc: . They act like they will train employees, and help them gain experience. Yet every one of them ...get snobby and turn you down the moment you say " well I don't have the exact experience but I'm willing to learn". These companies are a complete fraud :bored: , and they are very misleading.
Surely they should understand & appreciate,we all have to start somewhere. It seems they expect you to already be a CEO with 30 years experience, and then if you were a CEO ( I'm using an example of course), then you still get turned down due to being ' overqualified ' . You can't win . |
You go girl. Best of luck.

Do it
They lie as companies to their customers and clients 24/7 so beat them to it |
Honestly in some fields, if someone applies for something even if they have the full set of "skills", depending on what it is, they're going to force them to do it their way anyway... so you may end up being completely retrained/untrained/broken in regardless

But yeah I will fabricate the other stuff, and blag my little heart out. Other people lie on their cv's and exaggerate anyway. |
…AnnieK is our resident job application/career type person, that’s her skill set…so it might be a thought to chat with her also, GH….its a difficult one in that you want that application to get you an interview and a ‘face to face’ with a prospective employer….its not the key to being offered a job as such, it’s just a step ….but then, your skill sets and experience are going to be matched to the job so if they have been manipulated, you might struggle in taking the position…I’m overthinking…they’re probably flamboyant truths rather than lies…if you’re offered the job and you fit the position and fit the company and it’s all a good match…?…then I doubt they’ll care…anyway, good luck, I hope that you get that position you’re looking for……

Good luck GoldHeart.
I hope that you can get the job. |

But yeah mainly stretching of the truth & trying to adapt. As alot of jobs these days claim to train applicants ...so I think I could be taught a few new skills ,but it seems they themselves lie about willing to support & teach new employees  . |

I said I had a BTEC in Business from 2001. No one ever checked but they congratulated me on the qualification. :p |
I could never advocate lying on your CV.
I guess it depends what the lie is but any interviewer worth their salt will check you can do what you say you can. You can be vague on your CV to give you chance to expand on your skills and experience at interview but lies usually will bite you. It will depend on the type of role you are applying for but starting on a lie is never a good start. |
Thought everyone 'exagerated' on job applications

I read a story somewhere online, where someone said their friend said he got a degree...and somehow it's now worked in his favour in a career. So I truly believe people exaggerate qualifications. I'm mainly focusing on saying I have more experience than i do . |

I have three A levels lawfully. :p Adding a BTEC did me no harm. :p Yes extending your real experience is all good. :) GOOD LUCK.:hee: |
