What life transitions are you going through right now?

Changes to the house

Isaiah 43:18-19
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a
new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert."

I'm mentally trying to learn about myself again.

Over the last year I feel like I've really changed as a person, and I'm trying to learn if it's a good thing or not and how to move forward.

This is where I feel like my Mom would've been able to help me in the past.

I'm making the exciting and startling transition from ennui into anhedonia.

Not being were I'd thought I'd be and disliking myself very much. I feel like the vaccine made me get into a deep depression I am still struggling with. People laugh at me when I say this but genuinely I did read that a side effect can be depression

Sorry to hear that Ceecee, have you talked to your Doctor about it?

That whole debacle I think changed all of us to some extent.

Have you spoke to any friends and family about this?

I retired earlier this year ( March) but still struggling to come to terms with all the massive changes ( routines ) so I have been experiencing high anxiety and long bouts of depression in the past months ..

Sadly relaxing or even being happy seems to be unattainable to me thus far.

Sounds crazy I guess !

So I got diagnosed with anxiety a couple of months ago and I’m now on a CBT course and I’m learning about myself in the process. It’s all very heavy but kind of magical.

 as a fellow sufferer I can empathise. Therapy is good.

…yeah, I totally get the ‘magical’ bit in that learning the tracks of your thoughts and where your fears/anxieties/sorries etc come from…?..is kind of realising their ‘power’ if you like…and once that’s realised…?..it’s the beginning of using your life skills to take that power from them…I had CBT many years ago after and illness and surgery etc and had lost who I was/all confidence…and it was well…a life changing/eureka, type thing…because in ‘tracing and tracking’ fears and moods and vibes etc…?…we’re able to dissolve those ones that create our anxieties…/…it’s hard to explain it all but if you’ve got to ‘magical’ then you probably know……

…just a crazy period of adjustment, that’s all……your focus has been on working and caring for others etc and all of that stuff that lives are all about…but now it’s about you and Mrs Zizu and doing the things that you both want to do and that’s a huge adjustment to thought process, really..try to slow it down to just one day at a time …

…as Niamh said, did you or will you speak to your GP, CeeCee…?…there is no laughter here…so many, many people are still so impacted from COVID in that they feel that it was a ‘before Covid’ life and an ‘after one’…a time of such anxiety for us all and such isolation and fear for loved ones etc…?…will often leave some anxieties still in place…

We are in the process of fostering a dog until he or she gets their forever home, of course this all depends on how Princess Tilly reacts to another dog in the house...very excited though

Interestingly … we both worked all through the stress of Covid ( education) and the vaccines.

Before Covid I felt as though I would live till 100 … and then came Covid and all those dreadful scenes of people dying in corridors and temp carparks ..

Being male of a certain age I went to work terrified each and every day for about 18 months - it also shattered my feeling of invincibility..

If you have single breath left in you’re body you are doing better than those that have none

Fight until your last breath
