Was Sarah’s roast offensive?
Thoughts?
|
Khaled is so over sensitive Omg
|
Nah he needs to grow up
|
Khaled was so proud of his little stories yesterday, and he couldn't read the room on what everyone thought about them. Who's problem is that
|
It was the wrong words to use
She didn’t mean it in the way it was taken And this post marks my fifteen thousand posts |
Roasts generally are offensive, so it's probably automatically a "Yes"... but was it offensive to me? No.
He is oversensitive, yes, probably insecure about some of the things she was pointing out about himself and she effectively put a giant spotlight on it that made him feel even more uncomfortable and insecure in himself... but my question, what is he going to do when he opens up his social media?... all of that is still going to very alive to him when he gets out... so at least she pointed it out in the house in a more acceptable way than Twitter roasts, so he might actually make an effort to show other sides to his character and come out of his comfort zone... it's not guaranteed he will win, much less get into the Final and get special treatment. And I hope he's not relying on that........ |
No, Khaled just has a raging victim complex
|
…well, obviously it was to Khaled because he was offended…but her intention seemed to be to completely follow the task and advise him how to more become a rose…so that was always going to involve less than complimentary but nothing she said was said with any intention or thought to offend…she couldn’t even recall what she had said exactly and had no idea that it was she who had upset him…so no, it was received as offensive but wasn’t given in that vein at all…

I think it’s hard to judge on what someone would find offensive to themselves. If she said those things to me, would I care? No but Khaled obviously felt it was an attack on his character

I dunno, look at how well he handled Nathan's (imo) much more offensive comments. Maybe he's just a bit drained from it all. He doesn't seem to have had much fun in the house, and from the start he was being attacked for his "vanity" and "fakeness". I like Sarah a lot more than i do Khaled, but i feel him being upset was fair enough tonight.
|
I don't think he's fake. I just find him way too serious.
|
When Dean mentioned ruined Sarahs shoes he was nasty but it tonight's episode she said the previous housemates who were evicted had questionable fashion sense. She is a massive hypocrite. When Marcello mentioned her ph levels she hit the roof. She's disgusting and gets away with it because she has posh voice.
|
But in fairness, the whole point of a roast is to be tongue in cheek offensive.

“Khaled, I think if you spent less time looking in the mirror and more time looking inward, who knows what it could be. You obviously know you’re very good looking but every now and again you come down from your ivory tower and spend some time with us peasants down here like myself you might learn a thing or two.” |

I wouldn't say offensive.
But I do think that she should be careful with Khaled because he is a sensitive guy. Although tbf I am saying that, but I probably would've fallen into Nathan's trap if I were in the house with Khaled.:joker: |

It is going to benefit him longrun because it will give him a storyline because he's been stuck in the Witness Protection Program since the Ali Witch Trials... at least now we have a chance to know more about who Khaled really is... and he may rejoin the main house as a result. |
