Nathan the Royal fraud?
 

Well, there is a lot of chatter right now about Nathan's claimed past... from tiktoks accusing him of being a compulsive liar to an outright scammer.

I STRESS THAT I POST THIS ALL AS A QUESTION AND AM NOT SPREADING MISINFORMATION. NOTHING HERE IS FACT, JUST SPECULATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSION

Now, as to his claim of being a 'royal butler'... Is that even possible at 17? He wouldn't even be old enough to sign an NDA.

Apparently, he worked at Dumpfries House where anyone can stay there for £205 a night. He seems to have worked at a hotel for a year when he was 17 and was not Prince Charles' butler?

Is there more information out there?

Is there any evidence to suggest that he is lying?

Well the term butler (traditionally) has a specific meaning, and it isn't "just" someone who serves food at the dinner table and brings breakfast.

The butler is (traditionally) the "head male servant", who's in charge of the whole household staff. Someone working in that role in their teenage years kind of pushes belief.

Said this on day one. He may have served food in a large banquet hall that had a royal in it but obviously was not a Butler. Its similar to someone doing a minimum wage security job at Old Trafford saying they played for Man United. Its him exaggerating and BB production staff using it as a bit of PR

I’m not a fan of Nathan by any means but, I think this post is a sure fire way to ruin his position in the game with the voting public despite the fact that he has caused his own downfall several times.

Even though you state it is NOT FACT, I feel very strongly that comments like this should never be put in print without absolute proof of the claims being made no matter who the ‘culprit’ is, and they (Nathan) are not in a position to defend themselves in real time but only after the damage has been caused …

I live quite close to Dumfries house and had a couple friends who worked there when they were quite young.. I don’t think Nathan worked there full time though, maybe just events.. not sure.

Tbf I would claim to be king Charles butler as well even if I served him once. What a claim to fame

I dont get all the hate towards Nathan at all, imo he is a good housemate, maybe it's because he is a Tory, I don't know it's quite baffling and now supposedly stories coming out on social media of all places and those that don't like him will lap it up and run with it. If there is no proof why do people do that ,its spiteful and nasty, fair enough if you don't like him but let's have fact not fiction,

Exactly what I would ask of any HM as well, but sadly they sometimes misrepresent who they are and what they have done in order to manipulate the public.

I consider it a legitimate conversation to discuss whatever is said by HMs while they are in that house, this includes claims about their real lives that they have made while in there.

BB has never been about just being 'nice' to the HMs.

Saying "This is what is being said, is there any evidence either way?" is not 'spiteful' or 'nasty'. That is such a ridiculous thing to say.

And, no, it has nothing to do with his politics. I have defended his position as a center right moderate a few times, even here on this forum.

I like him still individually.

However I just cannot stand this nonsense, to me anyway, of a showmance.

There's times he's hilarious and I still love his efforts in the tasks.

As to this and his role as to the Royals, when Prince Charles wasn't King obviously.
He has stated publicly on a TV show what his role was.
Obviously the gutter trash media will try to discredit it as they do with anyone who they take a side against.

There's been no official denial of his role re- the then Prince Charles.
From anyone who has worked alongside him at the time, or from the officials who would have employed him then too.
Until that more reliable sources adds anything to what Nathan has said, I'll take Nathan at his own word.

However as in the media and some perhaps vindictive individuals against him.
They just throw something out there without any solid base of facts or the whole story.
From NO ONE really in the know anyhow.

I don't think him being a Tory is an issue, it's not for me, I'd love to sit him down and talk to him, not to be against him being a Tory but to try to educate him more on the negatives of Farage.
The way my lot are going in government at this present time any rate, then it may very soon be more fashionable to be a Tory.

Yeah he wasn't a butler in the proper sense of the word but he did work there and likely waited on Charles a couple of times. Housemates all embellish their backgrounds a bit so I wouldn't hold it against him

He'd be pretty stupid to go on national tv, and lie about working for a royal, and Charles of all people. His lies would/ will instantly get exposed. And the royal family themselves will not appreciate it.

I'm sure he even said he gave Charles breakfast in bed . I wonder if he's exaggerated alot of it...to somehow seem " interesting" .

Most likely so yes, I wonder if he would have still got onto BB without mentioning this ? .

I personally suspect that this is the case, though my mind remains open on it all.

From what I know now I would guess that he worked as a server or maybe a porter... A butler though is a specific job and to be a royal butler requires years of experience or completing their in house training program. The Prince/ King would of course travel with his own staff as well. Putting an untrained 17 year old lad in contact with the inner Royal Family just seems a real stretch to me.

I suspect that there is a lot of embellishment going on.

They do not suggest Nathan of simple embellishment whilst discussing his position during his time of employment at Dumfries House ….

I think of him as fake so fraud isn’t too big a reach either.

I never said that they did.

I suspect him of embellishing, many on tiktok think he is outright lying. At no point have I said that I agree with them.

Perhaps he has embellished his life at Dumfries Castle, that’s not where I have a problem.

That's fine, I haven't taken it personally, and it is what it is. I honestly feel that I was more than clear that I didn't support any of the accusations as fact and that they were just that... Accusations.

I still think that it's a legitimate discussion to have.

I'm not keen on them together Joey ,but it's nothing we haven't seen before,he makes me laugh and I think he's enjoying his experience and taking it all on the chin, has he had any strops yet ? I just don't get some of the nasty comments ,my fave is Sarah but feel a bit sorry for Nathan.
