Celebrity Wishlists

nice thread to discuss our celeb wishlists, for any version of this show

Mystic Mock 19-11-2024 12:35 AM

Anyone that can do a good Paso Doble, Argentine Tango, or Jive.

Nicky91 19-11-2024 08:24 AM

my wishlist

Strictly:

- Nicki Chapman (Escape to the Country, Pop Idol National Treasure)

- Tomasz Schafernaker (HUNKY weather guy)

Lets Dance

- Jurgen Klopp, would be grosses kino i think

- Isabell Werth, LOVE this olympian queen so so much

- Claude-Oliver Rudolph, was iconic as ''Die Godfather'' in traitors last year

- Vincent Gross, a schlager hunk who is soooo easy on the eye

Nicky91 19-11-2024 08:25 AM

and now seal team has ended, maybe David Boreanaz a possibility for DWTS in US

would love for him to reprise his ''Angel'' character in a Paso Doble or Tango :flutter:

Nicky91 20-11-2024 01:59 PM

also think we might be getting an expert from Antigues Roadshow on the show next year

and maybe for the tv doctor slot, one of the twins Chris or Xand van Tulleken?

as for sports names

we are due a strong male name again

Mark Cavendish recently retired, has a past in ballroom dancing as a child, but as a male he might get away with that background, due to public mainly hating females with dance training

Max Whitlock also one still to do the show some year, also is contender material (with the right pro)

and thanks to the success of Wynne Evans in terms of high entertainment factor, could see this opening doors to more classical musicians on the show

can see us getting another older male signing, but then someone with slightly more of a theatre/performing background: still think Anthony Head wouldn't be a too unrealistic shout, he would also be the second Ted Lasso star to do the show, after Ellie Taylor

but if they want to really impress the public, Robert Carlyle would be a better quality older name to go for

who can be a next Paul Merson cult icon contestant type though, well i'd say Tim Henman :hehe:

Nicky91 21-11-2024 04:05 PM

one more possible celeb for next year

Alistair Brownlee, olympic triathlete

as of today he retired his active career

Isn’t Tim perceived as being a tad boring ?

how about someone like Neil Dudgeon? John Barnaby from Midsomer Murders

would be a nice older male casting for next year, and a nice new project for him either

Nicky91 25-11-2024 04:18 PM

one reality star i'd love to dance with

Elettra Lamborghini

 if z-listers like pete wicks are allowed on the show, go for Elettra next year

millyrose 27-11-2024 07:32 AM

Danny jones

millyrose 27-11-2024 08:25 AM

Charlotte Dujardin

millyrose 27-11-2024 08:27 AM

Kelly Holmes

Nicky91 23-01-2025 07:16 AM

Dana International as the first transgender casting

and make me a pro especially for my dream wifey please

Nicky91 29-04-2025 04:26 PM

Luke Evans seems someone who i can see saying yes to this show, out of the more well known names

i mean we've had quite some female ringers lately, and to be fair i think Luke would do better than Danny John Jules, also in terms of more likeable

Luke & Luba has a nice ring to it

Celebrity Wishlists

Presumably Jo Jo and Danny will be high on their wish list

Though I was more entertained by Jack’s dancing in the house ..

Nicky91 30-04-2025 08:28 AM

my official prediction

females (7)

- Mimi Webb (singer-songwriter, tiktok star) 24
- Amy MacDonald (singer-songwriter) 37
- Sonali Shah (Escape to the Country presenter) 44
- Amelia Windsor (fashion model, member of royal family) 29
- Asha Philip (olympic athlete) 34
- Sky Brown (olympic skateboarder) 16
- Rita Simons (hollyoaks actress) 48

males (8)

- Luke Evans (actor of stage and screen, singer) 46
- Neil Dudgeon (midsomer murders actor) 64
- Ritchie Neville (Five member, singer, dancer) 45
- Noah Jupe (film actor) 20
- Zack Morris (eastenders, goosebumps actor) 26
- Jason Kenny (olympic track cyclist) 37
- Marcus Brigstocke (stand up comedian, actor) 51
- Henry Moodie (singer-songwriter) 21

this is more what i'm thinking a quite young-ish line up again, but with a few older names whom are not necessarily on paper chanceless or some even with potential on paper

Nicky91 30-04-2025 08:33 AM

Amy has a new album out in July, she'll deffo want to promote that, and she has been rumoured before to do this show

same goes for Rita Simons, also one heavily appearing in the media's rumour lists each year basically, only a matter of time before she'll do it i think

Amelia Windsor is a risky shout from me, but we know the BBC love the royals, with their obscure casting of Emma Thynn, so why not another model/royal casting

Luke is deffo a name who fits right into the big names a la Greg Wise, Caroline Quentin, Danny John-Jules type of casting, and i think it'll be wonderful to have him on the show, Gaston from the live action Disney's Beauty and the Beast

Zack has been rumoured before, and with his recent debut to international audiences in Goosebumps on Disney, he could do this show now i feel and not be just a token eastenders casting

Ritchie Neville in light of Five comeback i'm putting this name forward

Marcus is a funny comedian, came across well on celeb masterchef, doesn't take himself too seriously, he should do this show if it were up to me

the likes of Henry Moodie, Mimi Webb should use this show to up their careers to become more well known to a bigger audience

Interesting .. impressive knowledge !

I wouldn’t know where to start if you asked me

Nicky91 09-05-2025 07:49 AM

someone else who would also be good tv

and in light of 40 years Discovery Channel, ''Mr Dirty Jobs'' Mike Rowe

he would be a huge duffer though :fan:

Nicky91 17-05-2025 08:10 AM

how about an older US bloke in a same-sex partnership?

like Greg Louganis for example, very famous olympian one of the first olympians who came out

would that appeal to the older viewers

Nicky91 16-06-2025 07:56 AM

''confirmed by the media''

- Dani Dyer
- Georgia Toffolo

- Thomas Skinner
---------------------------------
that leaves us with 5 or 6 women still, and 6 or 7 men

i think this year we will have 8 women, 7 men

could deffo see Mark Cavendish as someone who might do it this year (especially as he recently retired his career)

am thinking who might be Dianne's ''non contender'' partner following her first win year, i am seriously thinking we might get someone based in the US again

somehow i also think Donal Logue could be an option, since we are due an irish contestant either + he is very pro LGBT, one of his daughter is trans whom he loves a lot too, he searched all over the US when she was missing, as for claim to fame: recently he been in the series Gotham, but you also might know him from Blade as that one baddie vampire whose hands first were sliced off  were funny scenes too (and we had a casting from blade alumni before, Danny John-Jules) i could definitely imagine his couples choice being one about his trans daughter Jade

 and considering we had castings like Amanda Abbington, Greg Wise, Caroline Quentin in recent years

+ Donal recently worked with the BBC, for a guest role this year on Murdoch Mysteries's newest season

as for his age, he's 59
