These are people in the same year of college/sixth-form. It’s a few months, for God’s sake. You don’t magically become another level of chronologically mature from 17-and-a-half to 18.

The girls family are Indian, I would imagine they had other plans for their daughter and probably an element of racism, and she ensured this holiday romance did not carry on in the UK.....

Apparently David Lammy is the MP for the area the boy comes from and he has not helped the family at all....

I didn't know her family were Indian, but as soon as I saw him I wondered if the family reacted as they did because he was black.

Even if she has got other plans for her Daughter, it doesn't mean that she should be ruining someone else's life over it, that's monstrous conduct imo.

There is quite clearly more to this. The family have probably lost money because their daughter is no longer pure and they wanted revenge for that
