If Japan Never Attacked Pearl Harbor, UK would be under Germany now

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_on_Pearl_Harbor

Good Job they did that attack.
It dragged the USA into WW2.

Before that attack
it was America First.
they sold weapons to the UK

But were never involved in WW2
until Japan attacked them "December 7, 1941"

Our Nicky would be a German poster.

It is that simple.

It was a Terrible Time
WW2
However, the USA was not part of the war
that started in September 1939.

It only got dragged into WW2 ( 9"December 7, 1941")
as Japan Killed so many in Pearl Harbor
As the USA were not expecting it.

and lining their ships perfectly in a row either, like sitting ducks

Crimson Dynamo 29-12-2024 04:04 PM

Or if it had gone the other way we could be turning Japanese

I really think so

arista 29-12-2024 04:09 PM

No Germany
was ready to take London,

Without the USA's help
the whole of Europe and the UK
would be taken by Germany

At least They would have food.

Also they would be made to work and make cheap goods for the mainland and the Fatherland

Any insurrection would be brutally crushed however:nono:

arista 29-12-2024 04:36 PM

We would never know LT.

But Germany would make good use of Ireland
as a Massive Prison.

Crimson Dynamo 29-12-2024 05:04 PM

Hmmm... Perhaps. Germany was nowhere near taking London.

Of course the role of the rest of the Allied Forces in the Far East, including UK, India, South Africa, Australia and NZ, is often overlooked, like the USA fought and won there all alone. They did not. What's more they took heinous German war criminals back to the USA because it profited them to do so.

Yes,
Valid Points Livia.

I should have put it as
without the USA's help,
Germany could then go forward to
try to take London.

Of Course the Allied Forces
(India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa & other nations)
played an important role in fighting Nazi Germany.

I was not ignoring them

user104658 30-12-2024 12:19 PM

The attack on Pearl Harbour was catalytic and prompted immediate action but the rising aggression and clear expansionism of Axis powers mean that the US was highly likely to become involved at some point - it just accelerated the tipping point. How the war would have played out from there is anyone's guess really. It would at the very least have been a LONGER war but Germany ultimately faces the same problem each time - holding the Western front whilst also trying to deal with Russia. D-Day wouldn't have happened without US resources but like I said... I think the US gets involved eventually... whether it's too late to pull off something like D-Day is the real question.

My instinct is that, one way or another, it was always going to be the case that Germany over-stretched their ambitions. They could have taken, and held, a huge chunk of Europe if they hadn't continued to push. Eventual peace settlement would probably have seen them keeping a lot of it.
