New Year's Eve plans?

What are they?

Quiet night in or painting the town?

Vanessa 29-12-2024 06:02 PM

Staying home. I'm still not 100%

Crimson Dynamo 29-12-2024 06:03 PM

Quiet night in with no intention of watching any of the NY bullsh1t

Niamh. 29-12-2024 07:13 PM

Will be seeing the new year in but not like partying in any way.
As I still have family guests.

Not as many as at Christmas.
However we are going to have a more like second Christmas day scenario on New year's day.

It has actually been really good catching up with family over Christmas.
I've really been happy with how all was done.

Cherie 29-12-2024 07:59 PM

thinking it will be 12 grapes and a glass of Fizz

then again it could be early night or staggering home in a flashing hat....will update

Crimson Dynamo 29-12-2024 08:45 PM

I'm going to smoke my cigar watching Mortimer and Whitehouse Hogmanay special at 10.30

At friends tonight for drinks (30th)

With the in laws New Years Eve. Going out for a Chinese then a few drinks. Not too much of a heavy one.

Staying in a hotel New Years Day with other half for our anniversary. Miller and Carter for dinner

I’m in Sydney this year. Feels like I’m 21 again!

Livia 30-12-2024 01:21 AM

Going to visit the in laws tomorrow. I'm going to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy, healthy 2025 xx

Beach during the day for swimming and tanning. Then probably late afternoon nap on the beach.

Watching the fireworks across the bay on our balcony in the evening with some Aperol Spritz. We’re not one for going out on NY as it’s always chaos and never fun.

It’s still good but NY in Sydney isn’t as fun as it used to be as there’s so many restrictions for the street party now.

We spent NYE in a pub run by a Liverpool supporter, there were about 10 people in there, no count down ....nothing, it was brilliant, perfect for us, walked out at 12.10 and the Spanish were late with their fireworks so watched them, went to the Irish pub which was emptying out, sat outside and people watched, someone had lost a ring down a grill so there was a commotion trying to get it out, then they seemed to just forget about it and disappeared, someone fell over in the pub and was bleeding and an ambulance turned up but the injured victim had gone, someone going by English time set off fireworks at 1am  all in all a very good evening
