Were they meeting someone?

Body found in the River
of one of them.

Reports say the two were going to the Boat Club,

Has Some Bad fella
chucked them in the River?

[Police Scotland said the body
had been recovered after being seen
in the river, near Queen Elizabeth Bridge,
at about 07:55.

Officers said that while the woman
had not yet been formally identified,
the family of Henrietta Huszti had
been informed and that the search
for her sister Eliza was continuing.]

…I don’t know, Arista…in regards to a ‘bad fella’…the articles are reporting that the police aren’t looking at any criminality being involved…that’s very sad and it’s hard to imagine that the outcome will be anything other than similar for the other missing sister…the twins are a part of triplets with a brother…they apparently moved from Hungary to Scotland around 10 years ago, I don’t know if their brother moved with them or is still in Hungary…

At a guess it sounds like it could be an accident? If one of them fell into the water, it's likely that the other may have tried to help them with the result being them both not making it out. Water would be very cold at this time of year.

…or they ended their lives together…?…the reports are that they were last seen on a bridge/hence the river search…and their landlady has said they ‘abruptly’ needed their tenancy…she had no previous knowledge that they were leaving…

Suicide I think, they ended their tenancy and did not tell family members in Hungary that they were going to do it so that is very suspect

That's a shame if that's the reason.

….although they had texted their landlady to end their tenancy and let her know that they wouldn’t be coming back…they left their belongings there, which is why she contacted the police…it’s all very sad…heartbreaking anyway but that there is a triplet whose had a very close bond with them, to have to process everything…it’s just unimaginable…

I thought of Ursula and Sabina Eriksson when I first heard about this story. Maybe some shared delusion at work here or something.

Devastating for the family, it's so cruel for those left behind

Ammi 01-02-2025 11:46 AM

…very, very sad…actually it’s not their brother who is one of the triplets, he was the sibling being mentioned in articles so I wrongly assumed he was…their triplet is a sister… ‘the third sister in the set of triplets, Edit Huszti, confirmed she had spoken to the pair on New Year’s Eve, describing them as happy and cheerful on a video call.’….

Their brother Joszef Huszti told the BBC that relatives do not understand their disappearance, adding their mother had a phone call with the sisters just days beforehand when everything appeared normal.

“We don't understand this whole thing,” he said. “That they wrote a message to their landlady, that they wanted to immediately end their tenancy agreement.

“We didn’t have any information about that. So that’s the strange thing, that the girls didn’t tell us anything about that. They never mentioned any such plan.”

…I don’t know if in their belongings, there will be some note or indication of why they ended their lives together but agonising for the family and their grief to cope with never knowing, either….

[end their tenancy agreement.]
