Yep, there is a clear dividing line with the folks that provided trump with the money to win all not supporting maga. Also, not many of the mega wealthy are into fossil fuels, so how is that all going to work out. Get popcorn is my advice

Even if you include Trump's recent $TRUMP crypto scam, Musk is 7x - 8x richer than Trump.

If you don't include the crypto scam, he's over 50x richer.

He is using Trump for his own reasons. He's not even a Republican.

Yes
that is normal for him

But he still works for President Trump
improving the USA.

He only works for himself and he only works towards his own goals. If you don't know that about Elon Musk, you don't know anything about anyone.

Swan 22-01-2025 01:20 PM

People worry about Trump, when in reality he's not the threat to democracy people like to make out him out to be, not really. Musk is in a different category altogether. He wants world domination. He's the guy we should be worrying about. Im no Trump fan (though he's better for America than any other politician atm imo), but Musk, well, there's something sinister and worrying behind those eyes. There's certainly an ulterior motive here, him up Trump's arse. I see a big public falling out between the two in the coming years.

Also going CNN HD

Trump has No Mercy

Glenn. 22-01-2025 01:38 PM

There was nothing wrong in what she said. If you think having human decency and mercy is wrong then you’re the problem.

It was the wrong location
for that.

Many in the USA are saying.

Glenn. 22-01-2025 01:50 PM

In a church? The wrong place?

The are swathes of America that voted for a sexual predator. It’s them that have the issue with what she said. The dumbest part of the population.

I agree and not; I don't think Trump on his own has any active desire to be a threat to democracy, I think he's just entirely self-serving and have always said that... I don't think he even gives a stuff about "dynasty" etc, I think he'd be quite "pleased" to be looking from an afterlife and seeing Little Trumps in power, but ultimately, I don't think he cares much at all about what happens once he's gone. He's here to live his own life in entertainment (he enjoys the power and attention) and comfort and that's about it.

However... on the same note... I don't think he CARES about there being a threat to democracy, and has no issue with Musk being a threat to democracy so long as it doesn't upset his own apple cart and these characters have some utility for his own interests. He has no interest in protecting or upholding democracy, in any philosophical sense. I don't think he gives a toss one way or the other what happens to the world or to the average person.

I mean I don't disagree with that to be fair, I don't put my actual moral decency hand-in-hand with religion most of the time. It's not a great predictor of it, at the very least.

Glenn. 22-01-2025 04:24 PM

Religious or not, the message was about being kind and having empathy. To act like a human being. Something none of the monsters shifting in their seats know how to. It was repulsing to see their reactions as she was talking.
