‘Some really daft things being done in the name of equality, diversity and
inclusion’, says Health Secretary

NHS staff boasted of their “anti-whiteness” stance, Wes Streeting has said in an
attack on “misguided” diversity and inclusion agendas.

The Health Secretary highlighted “some really daft things being done in the
name of equality, diversity and inclusion” which he said were setting back its
"cause".

“For example, there was one member of NHS staff who was merrily tweeting
a job ad online and saying part of her practice was anti-whiteness.

“And I just thought ‘what the hell does that say to the bloke up in Wigan
who’s more likely to die earlier than his more affluent white counterpart down
in London?’. We’ve got real issues of inequality that affect working-class
people.”

“The ideological hobby horses need to go,” the Health Secretary continued.

A new analysis found that 35 equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) roles
have been advertised since Sir Keir Starmer’s Government took power.

All but six of the positions allowed staff to work from home and some posts
offered salaries of more than £80,000.

Newham. I was born and brough up in Newham and this does not surprise me. The first borough to be more foreign incomers than born residents. Everything has been catered towards Asian and African incomers.

anti-Whiteness in this context only means that support given would be culturally tailored rather than "white by default" which is often less effective in mental health, due to differences in background assumptions. It means gearing treatment in a person-centred way for the best and most efficient outcomes - it doesn't mean "white bad" or that treatment OF white British people wouldn't be culturally tailored in a white British way.

Efficiency saves money.

I thought we were keen on that?

But this is what happens when laypeople latch onto terms and pump themselves full of needless outrage when they actually have no idea what they're reading. Lol. This also highlights one of the absolutely bizarre parts of British governmental politics - Westminster hopscotch... Wes Streeting does not have a background in healthcare. WHY would we not have a health secretary with an extensive healthcare policy background? Utter madness.

"But this is what happens when laypeople latch onto terms and pump themselves full of needless outrage"

She integrates anti-racism but also anti-whiteness… think the anti-racism stance might need another look over :joker:

I'm neither getting myself hot under the collar about a misinterpretation of someone elses' words, nor am I the health secretary? "Layperson" isn't a slur.

Jobs should be handed to people based on merit imo, the person could be from Mars for all I care.

Industries have hit the shitter since we haven't hired on merit based reasons.

bots 05-02-2025 06:16 AM

private employers care about money, so they hire based on merit. It's government funded employers that are not accountable to shareholders that don't care about merit

anti-white doesn't exist

there never has been discrimination against white people, and never will be

against the white privileged elites
