Poll coming, as you know I love a poll.

yearly insurance
great way to make money actually.
with the amount of flights I take I always get an opportunity to claim on delays

Glenn. 16-02-2025 08:36 AM

Niamh. 16-02-2025 08:44 AM

They only cover what is on offer medically locally, if you had to be flown home it would not cover you...I wouldn't take the risk, we have GHIC cards as well but always take insurance

Yeah we’re ok. Major stomach issues.
Had an appointment yesterday at the doctors. Cost $115 for the appointment another $20 for antibiotics.

Wanted to do samples and that too but hopefully on the up now. Just gonna take it on the chin.

We’re driving down to Sydney tomorrow.

…you can put in your claims when you get back…?..you should follow up with your own GP/tests when you return as well because some bacterial stomach conditions can need an extensive course of antibiotics so maybe have it all checked out when you get back as well…I hope you both that you both improve and feel well for the rest of your visit and travelling……

Always. I'm supposed to be skiing this week but my daughter isn't fully recovered from an illness and insurance covered our cancellation. Why would anyone not get insurance? We have an annual family policy and I have a separate one for work travel.

Yeah maybe. We’ll have a look when we get home.

Fingers crossed I’m on the mend

Sorry to hear you had to cancel your trip . Hope your daughter feels better soon.

You’d be surprised how many people don’t get travel insurance.

I think when you hit the mid 30s unless you are Neem :fan: the feeling of invicibility leaves you dont think we used to get insurance when we travelled when we were younger as we never thought we would need it

Always get travel insurance. Unfortunately, the premium is extortionate for me these days, so i have to pick destinations with care

Redway 20-02-2025 08:18 AM

Not always but yes.
