BBC Match Of The Day :should show fewer match highlights
Sky News Text :
[Match Of The Day should show fewer match highlights and more pundits' analysis, the BBC's chairman has suggested. The Sun says Samir Shah believes most people have already seen the goals by the time the programme goes out.] https://liveblog.digitalimages.sky/l...8b0eef4ab.jpeg |
Yes, let's have more of the pundits stating the obvious, than the actual thing that people are watching MOTD for in the first place. Christ almighty, no wonder the old school form of TV is dying as a medium. |
RIP MOTD
It needs a complete revamp, for starters its on far too late, put it on BBC2 as soon as the football finishes and show the highlights and less pundits talking... why it is still shown at the time it is just lazy programming |
Pundits talking is just mimicking all the other podcasts that are available. I'm not sure a highlights show makes much sense when the viewership is obviously very low. It costs the BBC money to show those highlights and a pundit only show would be much cheaper, particularly when the likes of lineker and shearer are not involved

stop watching it years ago
we watch all the goals ages before that dated show begins |
Likewise, Stopped watching it years ago, just watch live games now and look out for the results

Can see the logic that people have generally seen the goals by the time it's on but they're not the only highlight. You don't get any feel for how the game actually went if highlights are too short
