His pints are £7:50
He will have to add around 20p
next month.

He said Germany has had their hospitality
tax reduced to 7%

He is paying 20% and PM Starmer needs to
reduce that.

Everything is such a rip off here

a pint in our part of Spain is 3 euros 50 and that includes a tapa
A glass of wine is 3.00 euros and that is a glass, no small medium or large
a coffee is 1.50

here a Pint is 7.50 and a basic coffee is 3.00 and a medium glass of white wine is 7.50

a pet passport here in the UK is 200.00 for 4 months

you can get a passport in Spain for the lifetime of the dog for 60 euros

Dental work for a filling is 60.00 euros, same day appt, if you can find a dentist here it is 150 pounds upwards

No wonder there is a cost of living crisis with rip off prices for everything

Meh. In my experience people budget their pub spend and stick to it, and Britain has a longstanding issue with people drinking far, far too much. There's an easy way to have your pub trip cost less. Drink less.

I know that sounds over-simplistic but IMO not when it's hand in hand with the other point that the UK has a bad relationship with the volume of alcohol consumed. Have 3 drinks instead of 6. Maybe people will learn how to socialise without needing to be drunk.

EU countries have very little scope to manipulate prices because reducing tax is seen as unfair competition, so, i do question the extent of this tax decrease. France won't be happy for example

That is not the point though, the point is we are totally ripped off

Coffee is another great example, people would drop dead in parts of Europe rather than pay 4.00 for an Americano

Also eating out, you can go out and have a lovely Argentinian Steak dinner with two beers, half a bottle of wine, two cokes, a bread and Alioli starter and share a pudding for 3 people and its costs 70.00 sterling, you wouldnt get out of a Harvester for that here :nono:

oh and you will get a free Chupito thrown in
