Annouced :Universal Studios Theme Park 2031 near Bedford

Long Way Off.

A name for it, still to be sorted

[Universal Studios owners bought land
in Stewartby, Bedfordshire,
to potentially transform into a major attraction.]

Once they start digging for it
could be a Mega Venture

I've been waiting for it to be confirmed for such a long time now. I hope they gave confirmed it, it's such an exciting time for theme park fans like myself. I'll never be able to afford to go to the American ones, but Universal Greay Britain will be possible for me!

My son is so excited for this. He is a theme park /roller coaster junkie. His dream job is a theme park architect

Livia 09-04-2025 11:47 AM

I LOVE roller coasters. How amazing would it be to ride one designed by @AnnieK's son had designed?

All the said, I'm going to Disneyland Paris at the weekend. It's going to be hell on earth.

Yes, Conservatives left it hanging
for years

He would love that Liv. He is a total geek when it comes to them. You can ask him the height., speed, designer etc etc of any rollercoaster and he will be able to tell you all the stats about them

“ it will create 25,000 new jobs “

Seems a tad hopeful …

Glenn. 10-04-2025 07:12 AM

Been following this since Universal bought up the land. Amazing thing for the UK.

I think it's around
18,000

Glenn. 10-04-2025 09:59 AM

28000

Presumably the vast majority will be shortlived , temporary jobs centred around the construction of the site

Yes,
a 6-Year Build

Conservatives got this started many years ago.

Good Labour has a signed deal with
Universal Studios Projects.

Labour got the deal through after Tory’s halted on it.

They’ll be around 18000 jobs at the park itself. Universal in Orlando employ around 28000.

The jobs it will create around the area are expected to be in the thousands too.

BBC News Text :
[Bare-knuckle boxer Paddy Doherty
says Universal Studios will have
to "battle" travellers for the site
of a new theme park,
according to the Daily Star.
The My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star warned
Universal that residents of a caravan park
near the proposed 476-acre site
"won't be moving for anyone". ]

Give him a legal notice to leave
Or the Police can arrest him,
and remove him.
