CBB 2025 ratings?

Can't see a ratings thread, anyone know what the first three episodes got?

MTVN 11-04-2025 04:09 PM

Not sure what launch got still

Not great ratings but overnights are becoming less and less relevant

bots 11-04-2025 05:10 PM

network tv just doesn't get the viewers these days

*mazedsalv** 11-04-2025 05:16 PM

So far.

Launch- 1.8m
Tuesday- 1.5m
Wednesday- 1.5m
Thursday- 1.3m

Yesterday facing The Apprenrice was expected to drop. But I'd say 1.5m is probably its general rating. That is similar to what most of the series averaged last year for CBB.

Thing is, the show is going viral. Some tweets about it are amassing millions of views. So as that is not really doing anything to the overnights, i wonder if the catch-up figures will be high.

IIRC, CBB was adding around 800k to most of it's episodes last year.

The Apprentice got an all time low yesterday and when Corrie faced The Apprentice last week, Corrie got an all time low. So looks like a bad time for broadcast TV in terms of overnights. Could be the better than usual weather, other viewing platforms, etc...

What I do know, is that it launched 900k down on the year before, but is currently averaging around 400k down on Hl episodes. As last year dropped from week 2, i wonder if the gap will get smaller between the two series.

…is this the correct for launch night, do you think…?..

However, the series didn't start as expected. Reports indicate that only 1.8million people tuned in to watch the launch show on Monday (April 7) – the lowest ratings for a launch show the series has ever seen.

True.
Even EE was under 2m yesterday.

Dramas seem to be the thing that has time shifted like mad recently. Protection for example has averaged low 2 millions in the overnights but is getting 6.5m-6.7m in catch up figures.

Yes launch was low at 1.8m.

bots 11-04-2025 05:24 PM

people probably get their catch ups in 1 minute shorts on social media, it's just a different consumption now. That's exactly what happened in the USA election run up

MTVN 11-04-2025 05:33 PM

Thanks @Ammi and @*mazedsalv**

That is poor for launch but it was a Monday and an ITV2 only launch - think the first time CBB hasn't launched on a main channel

Hopefully the ratings hold up because I think CBB dropping to below 1m on overnights would be pretty disastrous

The Apprentice got an all time low yesterday...

These are actually decent numbers overall tbh. Or am I just thinking in terms of normal BB? Does CBB tend to do better?

The Apprentice is back? Excellent <3

Would say CBB generally at least doubles normal BB which is why C5 tried to milk it for all it's worth with two series a year

Last year's CBB launch did much better but this series isn't too far off for the nightly shows

ahhhhh ok, I see. ok, ty!

It got 1.5m for the eviction.

Tonight is on at 10pm, so I thought it would really struggle, but with removal news, it could be flat. For example, 1.5m at 10pm would be impressive giving the fact ITV news gets just over 1m nowadays at 10pm in the weekday.

It's just down on last year although this series launched to a lot fewer people so it had pretty good viewer retention

It's still very low compared to historic ratings (even on C5) but the overnight figure is becoming less and less relevant. Edit - I'm wrong there actually, the last few series on C5 rated worse
