Spain and Portugal experiencing major unexplained electricity blackout…
Huge swathes of Spain and Portugal have reportedly been hit with power outages that have seen airports and metro systems shut down, mobile phone signal fail, and electricity out.
There has been no explanation as yet for the power outages - which have affected Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Seville in Spain, as well as Lisbon in Portugal. Spanish media also reported the issue affecting areas in France. Spain's powergrid company Red Electrica said it is working to solve the problem, but there has been no indication of what caused the widespread blackout. In Valencia, the metro suspended its services, while parts of the underground in Madrid were evacuated following the blackout. The power cuts have apparently also seen traffic chaos across the country, with traffic lights no longer working. in Spain they are reporting it gradually is being restored as we speak
they can't rule out a cyber attack, but they can't also confirm it being a cyber attack, so a thorough investigation will be required one of my province's radio DJ's Maarten Kortlever is currently on holiday in Barcelona, he managed to keep us informed with a mobile cellphone with him over the phone with Omroep Brabant live on the radio |
and this is why you should always have a battery radio as old fashioned as it might sound, as the mobile signals was not working for many ...and some bottled water as there was no water coming from the taps
its defo a cyber attack, this could roll out across Europe |
"its defo a cyber attack,"
Yes, the reason No one is saying why? |

spontaneous outages can occur, even without cyber attacks here where i live, we not too long ago, last month our power company Enexis says this can also happen more often due to our changing climate, more extremes in the weather in terms of warm weather or stormy weather |
Affected the Live Tennis
as No Cameras had power. SkyNewsHD showed Public in a Railway tunnel That looked terrible |

Nicky, it is a Valid Comment from Wise Cherie As by now they would say why it has gone on |

since they are working hard to also fix this problem, while also investigating, they haven't got the time to inform us then |

I do hope you update us It is more close to your flat nation |
could be because Spain, Portugal and southern France use each other's power
so if there is a problem, all these might be affected, like now my nation Netherlands for example distributes and uses power also from Belgium and Germany and it is commonly known Spain, Portugal, parts of France (mostly southern france) work together in terms of power, which is cheaper that way |
It's an extremely hot day too, we just did the big food shop on Saturday, I'm worried about it all being wasted. Also don't know how I'll sort the baby's dinner.

problems in France have been restored to normal
and the french have offered Spain for assistance in restoring their power to normal as well |

the more you open them, the more it can get warmer in there |

A rare atmospheric problem that affected 3 countries, I am not normally a conspiracy theorist but we were also told the LA Fire were due to climate change until they weren't .....sure as hell not going to tell us its a cyber attack, coming hot on the heels of the fire that put Heathrow out of action a few months back I have my doubts
and yes Jess unfortunately people will panic buy and do stupid stuff |
being without power in a hot country is a nightmare. On top of the usual stuff, you have no aircon or fans either, making life extremely uncomfortable. It's very unusual for an entire country to suffer a power failure, let alone 2 or 3 so i would definitely say it was a malicious attack
|
like i said, Portugal and Southern France are also on the same power grid as Spain
what is unusual though is that France has their power restored, although maybe they can also use power from the french based energy suppliers  i think i believe the atmospherical phenomenon more than a possible cyber attack, and good on Portugal's energy provider REN that they did their own investigation, considering this also concerns them very much |
of course you are not a conspiracy theorist @Cherie
and i understand why this is very suspicious Quote:
