Doner Kebab Meat and Chips with Chili Sauce (hot or sweet I don't really care too much,) and Salad in the mix.

Seriously it's really nice.

Salt and vinegar to the max !!

As opposed to the yanks in Florida who don’t put vinegar on their chips ( well french fries) incredibly

Rather have a battered sausage tbh.

thesheriff443 24-05-2025 08:40 AM

Three medium chips as they don’t do small basically they are small but call them medium to charge you more
3 medium chips and two cans of coke 12 pounds enough to put you off eating them

Crimson Dynamo 24-05-2025 08:45 AM

£6.50 here for a sausage supper
£1.20 for curry suace

Agree that's a big red flag at any chippy

Times have changed no different to a chippy doing burgers

Vicky. 24-05-2025 09:53 AM

Chicken chips and gravy

Or kebab meat

That's also a red flag for me. If I see a chippy advertising burgers and kebabs I won't be using it :inamood: I love a kebab too but would go to a kebab shop for that

Although yeah times have changed, majority of chippies near me now seem Eastern or Southern European run (plus quite a few Chinese chippies) which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it's not what you traditionally associate with fish and chip owners

Deep fried cheeseburgers have been around since the 80s at my local chippy.

Italian owners.

Livia 24-05-2025 10:22 AM

Cod and chips, loads of salt and vinegar. If I was in Scotland, a haggis supper.

Crimson Dynamo 24-05-2025 10:30 AM

A combination of malt vinegar and brown sauce known simply as sauce or chippy sauce is popular on fish and chips in Edinburgh (only).

Crimson Dynamo 24-05-2025 10:34 AM

Dont mind a red pudding supper

The traditionally thing is being left in the past or wiped out like pubs

Chip shops have to find new ways to make money or get new younger customers or they will close
