Hard to know if it was an affectionate pat, or she slapped him in anger :shrug: He does seem to be recoiling though?

…Macron was slapped in a meet and greet a few years ago, he’s obviously just got one of those ‘slappable’ type faces, which is unfortunate…

I'm in a bit of a dark humour mood today, I honestly do understand where you're coming from.

…I guess for me and speaking only for myself, it’s because I’m so dubious of media portrayal and slanting and Macron himself has said that it was just joking around with his wife and not an actual slap as such/not how it was being portrayed…I understand that, that’s a stance that may not be accurate but because it’s what he’s said, it’s what I’m inclined to believe over media portrayal…

What about your own eyes, and what you seen....

Hard to believe politicians (and I would usually include the wives in the general bits) that are trained to keep face would make a scene like this right during the exit of an aircraft during an important trip where they knew cameras were trained on them. So more likely, this was highly undesirable.
