[Vicki Young will be the new presenter
of BBC Politics Live, starting in June.
She replaces Jo Coburn, who stepped down
from the role in May 2025.
Young has been the BBC's Deputy Political Editor
since 2020 and has extensive experience
presenting and covering UK politics.
She will start her permanent role in June.]

Vicky Young is very able.

This slot for politics has never come up to the standard it was under Andrew Neill.

Let's see if it improves under this presenter.
Jo Coburn didn't keep order most of the time unfortunately.

Yes the political coverage on BBC has never been the same since Neil left

This Week was also brilliant and they used to do great coverage of local elections and by elections which has all been cut back

I agree with all that.
This week was always good to watch.

Yes 15mins of each show gone
it used to be a one hour.

Except Weds PMQ's 11:15AM
the longer show including the approx 30mins Live
in the middle
So guests before and guests after it


Also big error
No more Friday 12:15PM show.
