Small things that you still take pleasure in and things that you find disheartening?

Mine.

Pleasurable. People still say good morning and smile in passing.

Disheartening. Feeling nervous to walk past gangs of youths in my local area/town.

I'll have to have a think about this, as there's a few things that I am thinking of.

But I haven't quite got the time at the moment, but you'll probably be reading an unofficial Novella later.

Not really, but you get what I mean.

Most things about Sundays past 2 pm is disheartening to me.

Get pleasure from being in nature, seeing a family of swans with their little cygnets or ducklings,

Disheartening is litter....walking to the post box on Saturday someone had chucked a bag full of litter onto the pavement obviously from a passing car, picked it up and put it in the bin, just take it home you dirty sods

Have you been up to Wroxham yet? Roy's of Wroxham is quite famous, a department store and supermarket, you can get some nice picky bits, take out a day boat and have a picnic on the water. It's a lovely day out.

What is it with men and boats? My OH turns into Captain Bligh before we've even cast off....

Small things that I take pleasure in:

- Birmingham City Football Club.

- Pretty women, especially dark haired women.

- Crisps & Pizza.

- Music.

Disheartening:

- The current state of entertainment in the US.

- The current state of entertainment in Japan.

- The current state of the TV version of Strictly. Jake's version on here is way better.

- People going on Sky Sports and being scared to showcase an actual personality.

- People who gob on the floor.

Getting paid on Friday when your scheduled pay-day is on Monday and it’s not even a bank-holiday Monday is something very pleasurable.

Pleasure: the knowing of some of the amazing things survivors of narcissistic abuse go on to cook and write (i.e., express/value in a fundamental way), and just do in-general. The firmness in the boundaries they set with people. Y’know, they’ll develop a refined air for cleaning (they might’ve just been relatively average cleaners overall), they’ll advocate for the marginalised and themselves all-the-more, they’ll make the best bumbleberry pie, they’ll write books, they’ll start new businesses, they’ll go back to uni. and get another Master’s. The alchemy of trauma can be deeply rewarding to see, as they step into a better version of themselves in Christ (in a metaphysical, not deeply religious, sense).
