I don't disagree with him on this particularly, but I think he should probably concentrate on the devil's work that is continuously unfolding in the organisation he is in charge of.

Because some catholics have done the devil's work for centuries and had a rare old time doing it, doesn't make him wrong.

It's good for the Church to engage with contemporary issues. AI will probably disrupt our society to the same extent that the industrial revolution did

I remember reading about how open and engaged they were with the idea that the earth moves round the sun.

AI itself is not doing the devils work. It's the people that train the models that are good or evil. The same as there are in everything else under the sun
