its sooooooo boiling hot!
36C currently outside, my airconditioning keeps it 9 degrees cooler in my room, at 27.5
luckily lesser hot weather is on its way tbh after tomorrow |

I know people who've bought 2 or 3 fans to keep cooler. |
Yes Nicky.
We are all under this Hot Sunshine. It can be hard |

Its cloudy and 15.9°C here at the moment bliss |
our poor garden meanwhile :( however they're getting water tonight, when all of the sun is gone from the garden obviously, also nice to cool everything down with the hose, especially those hot tiles
and again such a horror hot night incoming 22C is the lowest we are getting at night :worry: but thankfully this will be the last hot night for next week and a half or so they say in terms of forecasts |

Except Scotland |
Cloudy here in Manchester too
Still fairly humid but not as unbearable as yesterday - around 21 degrees |
If you imagine a line from Southampton up to Birmingham and then across to Norwich
Everything South and East of that is hot, everything North and West is just normal |

Lucky you |
Admittedly, I giggle a little bit when I see y'all talking about hot weather. But to be sure, yes, 36C/97F is in the effing hot territory for most people. And it doesn't seem y'all have homes setup with central air conditioning and all that jazz we absolutely need here. I've been without electricity for an extended period of time with just fans, so yeah, even lower than that is really really hot and very difficult to sleep.
Nothing beats the low hum of a window unit when sleeping. Not sure what you use, but if you can fit one they should keep the room pretty dang cold if they're sized correctly... (and generally inexpensive in the US). And they really do a good job of using humidity to your benefit if you're in that climate zone. We're in wet summer mode now, so not as hot as it would be at night, but we had a mild drought and lows were in the high 70s/low 80s overnight (21~26C). I'm sure that'll be back in a few weeks or so.. |

Some say it is like 1976
Of Course, the Music was far better, back then. |
I had to pop to Liverpool today to drop a painting off for an upcoming exhibition and it was raining, dull and really quite chilly! Couldn’t believe it.

more humid and hot today, later on we'll have rain, cooler weather, also some t-storms
i went in the shower earlier than normal, because of that latter, i just don't trust being in the shower while there is a t-storm  |
Today is just perfect. I'm outside in my sun lounger
|
While it's been sunny and hot where you people are, up here on the North East coast we haven't had a heatwave. Only 19c tops and very cloudy and windy.
Raining too. Makes me laugh when the BBC weather say the 'whole of England is in baking heat.' :joker::joker: What a joke. I wish these people would look at the whole of the UK weather instead of concentrating soley on London and the South.:joker: It's been cloudy again today, NO SUN. And very windy. Temperature only 15c. |
Just found this on Google. And it's so right.
While parts of the UK, particularly the south and southeast, are experiencing a heatwave, the North East of England is not currently part of that heatwave and is not expected to be as hot. The North East is less likely to experience the very warm or hot spells that are predicted for the south and southeast. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Heatwave in other regions: The UK is currently experiencing a heatwave, with some areas, especially the south and southeast, seeing temperatures potentially reaching 34°C. North East is cooler: The North East of England is not experiencing the same level of heat as the south. While there might be some warm days, it's not considered part of the current heatwave. Changeable conditions: The North East is expected to have more changeable weather conditions with potential for showers. Potential for hot spells: While not currently experiencing a heatwave, the Met Office forecasts that the North East could see some very warm or hot spells later in July, but this is more likely to be in the south or southeast. |
It's like autumn here..gusty winds, fast moving rain laden clouds..
No wasps though. |
