Some land in the countryside and with a view of the ocean, so I could build a house for me and my OH.

Barry. 12-07-2025 08:37 PM

Probably some furniture for my room, update it a bit

Alf 12-07-2025 09:12 PM

I'll take a pint, if you're offering. Otherwise than that, don't waste your money on me.

Give it to Ben. He helps people.

Unsure why you seem to have taken umbrage at me doing a charity hike, but I guess if you’ve got nothing better to do in your drunken state as per usual it makes sense.

I am. I actually said to you in my first post, that if that makes you happy, then great. I was just saying, it's not for me, and I will walk that, for pleasure. And need no adulation for it.

I once did a coffee morning for MacMillan, years ago, so I've done my bit. Just personally not a fan of organised charities. Don't take offence, none intended, nothing personal. It's just the way I talk and put my point across. Sorry I can't be like everyone else.

Well there was no need for your post in the other thread (it’s not a serious debate where you need to put your thoughts across). But it’s totally fine if it’s not for you, just don’t post in there rather than put your point across like that.

You do realise that you're attempting to give me orders here, right?

Why would you think you're in a position to give me orders of what I can and can't say?

You can disagree all you like, but giving me an order won't wash.

Oh grow up. You’re not an 16 year old teenager. You’re drunk and bored, and of all the things on here you could spout on about you’ve chosen the hike. Nice.

I bow to your observation. I'm drunk and bored. But it still doesn't make me wrong.

I don't mind you disagreeing with me, but I won't have you telling me what I can do.

I will when it’s my thread trying to raise money for a charity and unnecessary comments like that are posted. You could just not post but instead you’ve actively chosen to do so. I’m guessing serious debates is quiet tonight.

I’m not spending the rest of my evening discussing this. But that’s my opinion on the matter.

I personally don't feel It's unnecessary, you do. So we differ on that.

Why would you only want positive feedback? How would you ever learn and evolve with no negative feedback?

I didn't even say anything bad. I actually said that if it makes you happy, then that's good.

Oliver_W 12-07-2025 09:51 PM

ANYWAY.

Kate, buy me Garden Lodge please

Maybe you should take the time to really think hard why I would be doing it for that specific charity. But if you want to imply it’s for adulation, as you have, then carry on.
