I have a shotgun in my home, locked up, but it's here. Every farm around about me also have shotguns... But for how long? How long before someone says we have to hand them all over? Shotguns have to be stored unloaded and separately from cartridges, in a secure lock box or gun cabinet. My local gun shop is like Fort Knox, good luck breaking in there. If someone steals a shotgun it's because it was not stored correctly and the owner is partly responsible. As for shooting birds and leaving them suffering, that person should never, ever be near a gun. A responsible gun owner would never... Personally, I shoot clays, never, ever animals.
