2nd time Un Lucky.

I assume due to her comments made this morning
on a Radio 4 docu

[In an interview with the BBC's James Naughtie]
He error was standing by what she originally stated
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwye24vjnn8o

She will have an option to join
Jeremy Corbyn's new Political Party soon

Beso 17-07-2025 05:27 PM

Yes. She's a stubborn old bat.

Oliver_W 17-07-2025 05:53 PM

She just can't stop minimising racism against Jews.

Liam- 17-07-2025 05:54 PM

He’s been itching to do that ever since he exiled Corbyn, he’s a a small man

joeysteele 17-07-2025 07:53 PM

I haven't a clue why he has done this.
It was an issue settled before and Ms Abbott brought back into the Party.

She hasn't said anything wrong in this latest interview where she was asked about it and answered honestly.

She never ever said before that she thought her view was wrong.
However apologised for any offence if OR any was taken by othersvat the time.

She's been consistent and has only said that in this interview.
So this is a really petty and pathetic move by Starmer on this.
I'm no great fan of Diane Abbott but at least everyone knows where they are with her.

I remember she campaigned hard against private schools. While sending her own son to..... a private school. She's another politician with a "do as I say and not as I do" mentality and sadly they are not limited to Labour.

that got her sacked last time

.... but she'd never ever retracted them in in the first place.
Only apologised if any others were offended.

That didn't mean she regretted saying it.

Then she was re-admitted to the Party.
So what's the issue now.
He's being ridiculous.

Yeah no one can spot an Orthodox Jew from 10 paces or an Irish traveller...what a racist Diane is

aw you reap what you sow

funny you had no issues at all about winter fuel being taken away from poor pensioners, and when I suggested they wanted people who didn't vote for them to die, you laughed, now that you might have a potential new leader in Corbyn, Starmer is suddenly the enemy......lol ...and shame on you

Suspending the Mother of the House.
What a good look that is.
I don't agree he's right to have done it.

It's starting to look, ( although obviously he won't do it in a big way), like he's doing what Boris Johnson did to all Brexit rebellion in his own Party on voting.
To even distinguished Tories like Kenneth Clarke.

Democracy is such a fickle thing. Abbot was legitimately elected. Everyone knew exactly who she is and what she stood for. I can't stand her, i think Starmer has the same opinion, but she was elected as a labour member of parliament. It's not like she was a member of the cabinet where she would be expected to have loyalty to the leadership

Having a big old unapologetic racist as Mother of the House. that's embarrassing. Having people stick up for her and her racist values. Again, embarrassing.

Well, she's Mother of the house because of the time she's been consistently elected to the house as an MP.
Nothing else decides the description of Mother or Father of the house.

So if anything from your position, it's the voters in her constituency who are the ones at fault for voting for someone you term a racist.

You don't term her as racist despite her continued claims? That black people have suffered more in some kind of freaky competition to see which group are the biggest victims.

From my position, people who vote her in must agree with her that racism is only bad when it's against black people. I imagine she'll join Jeremy in his new Jezbollah party any minute as it's a view they share.
