I can't really tell what's happening, is it about illegals assaulting women and/or girls?

And the fact that illegal migrants - all young men from cultures that do not value women - have been housed in the middle of their community. The assault on a schoolgirls kind of kicked it all off though. Epping Council said they are against it and were not consulted before the Home Office moved them in. People have said Epping has a history of being Far Right but there's a Jewish community that's lived there quite happily for decades and decades.....

It must be really jarring to have another influx into the community considering the parents of many of these people will have moved out to Essex from the old East end when it became unrecognizable to them.

Yes. My parents always aspired to live in Epping. Of course, being white working class who never owned a property till they retired, they had no chance. They watched the East End they loved handed over to incomers. I can trace my father's side of the family back to before the Great Fire of London, they lived in the Moorgate area. None of my family live there now. It's like a foreign country.

Morbid curiosity allowed me to watch a for a few minutes. There’s a very angry man shouting at the riot police. I’m sure he has to be home for work in the morning. I’m sure he works.

The real world, Livia. My heart breaks for them. I couldn't imagine my town just being allowed to change so drastically.

They're up here in Norfolk with me now. Well, not with me, but a ten minute walk away, five if you cut across a field, about as far removed from east London as you can get. We hardly ever go back to London now, which is sad, generations of my Dad's family lived in the same street in East Ham. It was a decent working class street, like a village really, and there were people from all over, Caribbean, India, Sri Lanka, Cyprus, Poland... it was a nice mix of good people. Now it's full of people walking around with machetes, selling drugs and not speaking English.

No need to be embarrassed if you can't imagine it. People watch all sorts of stuff on YouTube, music, sitcoms and railways etc

Imo if Epping is as far right as some people in the Media say it is, then it's highly reckless of this country to send Asylum Seekers over to that particular area of the country.

On a totally unrelated topic, it reminds me of Glastonbury having Daphne & Celeste perform back in the day.

Safety for the individuals should be a top priority in any scenario.

Epping is not far right, get a grip Mock, but they dont like it when women are attacked, think it would be the same in your neck of the woods no?

When I came to London first from a rural background in Ireland I absolutely loved it...such a melting pot with so many different cultures.... it changed so much in the last 10 years and while people were still lovely we did feel like a minority and outsiders....so glad we moved ...think alot of people dont experience that, and so they have no idea of how communities changed...but hey ho

That's why I said if they're Far Right like the Media are saying, not that they are Far Right.

So I have got a grip thank you very much, unlike a lot of these threads going on Serious Debates at least.
